Finches Cottage is a beautiful three bedroomed fully renovated character cottage, situated in the picturesque village of Egleton, Rutland. Situated on the outskirts of Rutland Water, one of Europe’s largest reservoirs, there are an abundance of activities to keep you busy during your stay. From water sports, to bird watching, walking to cycling, days out with children, or evening meals with friends, family theme park to horse riding – you will not be short of things to do. The space Fully renovated and interior designed in 2018, this cottage comprises of; A well equipped John Lewis kitchen, complete with fridge, freezer, microwave, oven, toaster and kettle. Fully kitted with cutlery, glasses, utensils and cookware. There is also a washing machine and dishwasher for your perusal. After a busy day, a good nights sleep is a must. Our master bedroom with a king size bed, wardrobe, dressing table and an armchair to relax in, can provide you with that home to home comfort. A good nights sleep is paramount to having a relaxing holiday, which is why we have provided all linen with luxury mattresses and pillows in all of our bedrooms. Located at the rear with views across the fields is our double bedroom, complete with double bed, wardrobe, and a dressing table. All our rooms are furnished to a high standard throughout, ensuring that we offer our guests the most relaxing and comfortable stay possible. Our third bedroom complete with bunk beds, and with an animal theme - is sure to give your children a good nights sleep after those busy days exploring. With a basket of children’s books provided, and a desk as well, this bedroom is perfect for children to spend their hours winding down. Put your feet up in the living room and relax on the two large comfortable sofas, whilst watching the smart TV. There is a log burner, for use during the winter months, and you will also find a drawer full of family games and various books for you to enjoy. Our bathroom houses a toilet, wash basin and a large double shower. Make use of our complimentary, environmentally free toiletries relaxing in the rainfall shower, before grabbing a luxury towel from the heated rail to complete that wind down experience. At the rear of the cottage is the dining area, with a dining table that seats 6. This room leads to the garden via bi-fold doors, and also has two armchairs situated by the doors to enable you to relax and enjoy the views over a glass of wine or two. The rear garden offers countryside views, and a 6 foot table to enjoy a spot of lunch on. Enjoy the peace and quiet of the village , whilst relaxing in the garden and watching the numerous birds and wildlife that it attracts. During the high season, a disposable BBQ will be provided for your stay, and you will also have access to an outbuilding where you will find a supply of logs, a selection of outdoor games for you to enjoy, and a small storage area should you need it. With miles and miles of countryside surrounding the cottage, we welcome guests to bring their fur babies along with them. With many local pubs being dog friendly, you can spend the whole day with your furry best friend. Luxury wicker beds with clean blankets have been provided to ensure your dog is comfortable for the duration of their stay. We do request all dogs to remain downstairs, and a stair gate has been provided. We also ask that you refrain dogs from going onto the furniture.
