Perfectly situated beneath an oak tree canopy, Bella Green is known for its magical sunsets, fresh air and dark, dark skies ---we encourage you to connect with the people you care about, with yourselves and with nature. You just "feel better" here. Bella Green B&B's eco-sensitive "tucked under the trees" Guesthaus has an awesome screen porch, sitting room and lovely bedroom with queen bed to destress and renew! Though typically available on weekends only, do inquire if you'd like extra days. This custom-designed space has an artfully inspired bedroom with queen-size bed, luxury sheets, handmade Madrona scarf holder, and stained glass window (made by the host). It has has independently adjustable thermostat, ceiling fan, and if you like a breeze, you can open the door, and pour it in from the large screen porch. The private bathroom has an antique sink, dual-flush toilet, and walk-in shower (towels and amenities provided). The sitting room is Sedona-inspired with lots of color, a comfortable love seat, and a small dining table. Here you'll find your coffee pot, plates, and mini-fridge, along with coffee/tea/sugar/creamer. Out on the screen porch (a favorite place to hang out), there is another loveseat that faces the view, along with a breakfast bar/desk (yes, we have free broadband wifi) that faces the majestic hills! A small bar table has a microwave and silverware for your use. Stepping three steps outside and down, is your private fire pit area. Six pieces of wood per day are included, and we also have a lighter and fire starter kindling to get you going! This is a great spot to enjoy the Sunset! The host's outside dining patio (where breakfast is served at your choice of 8am, 9am or 10am) is an optional amenity for an extra $$25/couple, and is community space in the mornings only. The rest of the time those staying in the Guesthaus have access to this space, its gas grill, and outdoor dining table. This too, is a wonderful spot to watch the sunset! There are several buildings on the property - your hosts home (they live in the main house), the Bella Green Guesthaus, found to the right of the main house, the Cedar Cottage found about 450+ feet away (plenty far enough away not to normally hear one another), our Bella Vista (to the left of your hosts' home) and our Gypsy RV with a long term renter is beyond that! Each rental space only allows a maximum of two guests (no noisy parties!) and each has their own private outdoor areas with individual fire pits. The "common space" is the host's deck, which is where your delicious artisan breakfast is served daily al fresco when the weather is nice (most days!) under the trees unless it is too cold or raining and then we bring it to you. Other things to note: - FIRE PIT AREA - Your private outdoor fire pit area comes with a wooden double settee plus free firewood, a long lighter and fire-starter fat wood. ALWAYS keep the top spark screen on an open fire please. - EXERCISE OPTIONS - There are plenty of hilly neighborhood streets to walk with beautiful views . Sadly our hills are too steep and have loose rocks - so we do not offer on-site "trails". We suggest Bandera's Hill Country Natural Area and Cibolo Nature Area (Boerne) as good local hiking options. - READING MATERIAL - Just outside our front gate is our "Little Free Library" box where you are invited to TAKE any book you like! Please note: the wellness library resource books are for borrowing only while on the property. You can keep any book from the library box. - TINY SPACES TOUR / ART STUDIO - if any of our other cool spaces are not yet occupied when you arrive, or if they are empty at check-out time, we are happy to give you a tour of these unique spaces on property, let us know. You are welcome to request a tour of Karen's Art Studio at 11am most mornings (after breakfast is served) if you like. - THE LANDSCAPE- We believe in biodiversity and tend to let natural grasses grow...this allows our dormant wild flower seeds to thrive best. As hosts, we try to be available to greet guests and provide a brief property tour upon arrival. If you arrive later than 10pm, it becomes self- checkin. We typically chat over coffee in the mornings to learn more about you, if you opt for breakfast and if invited. Otherwise, we make it our business to give you space to enjoy your special quiet time here as you like. NOTE: We live on the property in a separate building should you need us for anything. We are happy to make recommendations should you request it. Lovely acreaged neighborhood feels like you are on vacation. Pipe Creek is a quiet town, with little in the way of a downtown area, yet we do have a lovely a farm-to-table restaurant called BACKYARD BISTRO (tucked behind an antique store) for those looking for good food that is close - open on Thursday-Sunday only. Many Guests like to venture to our "sister" cities of Boerne, Bandera and Helotes, which are each about 15 minutes away. They offer interesting and diverse dining, shopping and park/recreational areas to explore at your leisure! San Antonio's Riverwalk is just 45 minutes away and Austin and its many cool areas is 90 minutes or so out. We love Boerne, a beautifully pristine city, and home to some of our FAVORITE dining spots (Dodging Duck, Brantly's 259 Bistro, Cypress Grill) and it has awesome micro-breweries (Dodging Duck & Cibolo Creek) and an exceptionally cool Boerne Wine Bar. It also has unique boutique shops, cool caves to explore (Cave Without a Name), lovely green spaces (Cibolo Nature Center), and a wide-range of art galleries and antique stores to explore. Bandera is known for its motorcycle rallies and awesome drives. It is very casual, laid back, and very much "cowboy" country. Here you will find live country music plus boot-scooting dancing (most days) and of course, lots of places to horseback ride, hike the hills (Hill Country State Natural Area), or enjoy the Medina River. It is considered the "Cowboy Capital of the World" and it is like walking back in time...Our favorite restaurants here are Brick's Rivers Cafe (Southern Comfort food and a full bar), Maggio's (killer pizza and giant pasta entrees -feeds 2!). Helotes has one of our favorite honky-tonks (The Flore Country Store), unique market days and nice bicycle riding trails and our favorities: Cracked Mug Coffee and El Chaparral restaurant. All three cities are very different, and fun to explore! Take a day at each and you'll understand why we think our location is perfect for a hill country getaway! Or you can even venture a bit further to visit Fredericksburg (Enchanted Rock & wineries!), New Braunfels/Gruene area (River Floating/Live Music/Eateries/Shopping - Very walkable city), Lost Maples Park in Vanderpool, Garner State ParkK in Concan, and much more! You will need a car. It is our understanding that Uber and Lyft do make routes up here for those attending concerts at Flores' Country Store in Bandera - but please double check (as this can sometimes change). If you will be arriving in two cars, please let us know in advance as we need to shift the hosts' cars to make room for you.... : )
