Built in 1925, newly renovated, preserves the elements of traditional architecture and also all the amenities that guarantee a pleasant stay. The space What I remember most about my granny’s house is that it was always full of friends and relatives. My grandmother, an exceptional cook, used to hold gatherings often serving delicious meals in the outdoor terrace, whereas my grandfather used to play the mandolin and sing. The old stone house still feels cosy and welcoming. It was built in 1925 and it is newly renovated; the elements of traditional architecture combined with all amenities will ensure a pleasant stay. The house, 90 m2, is peaceful, spacious, sunlit and tastefully decorated. Big windows provide a nice view of the old town. There are also wooden ceilings and floors while the tiled roof helps the house to maintain a stable temperature. Central heating and air conditioning are available, so the house can be used all year round. Antique wooden furniture, embroideries and handmade crafts create a unique style. The house is built in a traditional manner as the rooms are arranged around an inner courtyard. The layout of the house is suitable for a couple with one or two children. The master bedroom includes an en-suite bathroom which is accessible only through this room. There is one bedroom with a double bed. In the living room there is an additional double bed and in the dining room there is a single bed. The kitchen is fully equipped with all necessary cooking utensils along with a refrigerator and an oven with hobs, while in the bathroom there is a washing machine. Baby equipment can be provided upon request. A shady courtyard with dinning and seating area provides privacy and a spacious balcony with a view of the old town is ideal for outdoor relaxing. The house is located in Kranidi town centre, in a quite narrow street, close to Agios Konstantinos square, where the parking lot is. All Ermionida’s popular beaches are within 10 to 15 minutes’ drive. The well-known coastal towns of Portoheli, Ermioni and Kilada with a great variety of traditional taverns, restaurants and coffee shops to choose from, are a similar distance away. There are regular ferry connections with the picturesque small islands of Hydra, Spetses and Poros, which are ideal for day trips. Also the medieval castle of Monemvasia is ideal for one day boat trip. The historical town of Nafplion is an hour’s drive. Also it takes an hour to get to the famous ancient theatre of Epidaurus and the archaeological sites of Mycenae and Tiryns. The surrounding area of Kranidi is full of options for summer activities and there is a wide range of water sports available on the organised beaches.
