The space Vistagredos rural apartment is a very popular rural apartment in our La Solana cottage. Due to its capacity, we found the largest apartment in the house. Communicate with the courtyard on the north and our large garden on the south. It's an apartment with lots of light. Its name comes for its pleasant views, apart from being able to observe the entire garden of the house from its living room, kitchen and rooms you can also see the entire Sierra de Gredos, at its time with its particular beauty of its snowy peaks, and you can also see the picturesque villages of the La Vera region such as Piornal (village with the highest altitude of Extremadura), Barrado, Arroyomolinos de la Vera or Pasarón, all in the foothills of this spectacular Sierra de Gredos. Just 7 km from Plasencia and between La Vera, the Jerte Valley and the Ambroz Valley. La Solana cottage is located in Malpartida de Plasencia. Formerly called Casa Cilla (S. XVII) it was owned by the Bishopric of Plasencia. Currently it retains its architecture, shape and details but adapted to the comfort of S.XXI. In it, you can see its Arab cistern with water, buccades and its ancestral and strong forms of construction. A trip back in time with all the comforts of today. La Solana is a beautiful rural complex of 6 apartments, which have 2 to 6 beds. The rural apartments have a rustic 300m patio and a garden of more than 800m, with a swimming pool, barbecue (closed in summer, we provide electric irons) and relaxing furniture. Located in Malpartida de Plasencia, within the Monfragüe National Park region (just 15 minutes away)and next to Plasencia, we are very well connected to Cáceres and Trujillo. It's a strategic place to enjoy the North of Extremadura. Any and all of our apartments are fully equipped: free WiFi, air conditioning, heating, separate living room, fully equipped kitchen and spacious rest areas. Guest access Two jewels from our House that you will surely like, the patio and the garden: The PATIO: The patio is a large 250 m2 space with an ancestral slate floor, in which we can enjoy its curious barbecue built with millstones, slate and stoneware. It consists of two parts of its beautiful garden furniture, large tables and comfortable armchairs where the client can use them on pleasant sunny afternoons and cool summer evenings, inviting them to read, accompanied by the fall of the water from its fountain, relaxation, gatherings of friends and family and also for dinner, lunch or breakfast. It has in its center a veggie centenary old fig tree that gives a cool and pleasant shade, a sun clock and a typical construction based on shingle and boiled brick that make it a very charming place that always fascinates the customers who visit us and that anyone who wants can use it. The GARDEN: El Jardín is another one of La Solana's highlights. It is a space of more than 400 m2. surrounded by centuries-old olive trees, with its wooden sleepers and large tables built with glass and car wheels. An area populated with grass and surrounded by native trees; Olives, Higueras, Granados, Ciruelos, Madroños, Bambú, Laurel, Hojaranzos, Limonaranjos, Pinos Carrascos, Cherry trees, etc., and in which you can also find a wide variety of aromatic plants such as the Presta, Hierbabuena, Toronjil, Orégano, Albahaca, Romero, and many more varieties, contemplate organic agriculture and the traditional family orchard with its great variety. It is an ideal place for relaxation, with a lot of variety of birds that make their habitat or a place to pass through; Petirrojos, Jilgueros, Abubillas, Colirrojo Tizón, Lúgano, Carboneros, and a host of varieties, as well as the cigarettes that live in the nearby Church and Los Cernícalos. Some of these species even nest in the garden itself or hanging groves. There is also a small pond near the bamboo where frogs live happily croaking when dusk, reproductions of typical Hurdes constructions such as stone casitas, swings for children, ping-pong table…… From the garden of the house and due to its spaciousness you can see the villages of La Vera, such as Arroyomolinos, Piornal or El Barrado, and the crests of the impressive Sierra de Gredos.
