Situated on the grounds of The Manor, a nineteenth century residence at Castlelyons, Fermoy, Co. Cork, Ireland, The Gate Lodge is a sedate luxury self catering accommodation which offers a secluded and tranquil place in which to rest and relax. The space Much has changed since the coachman, Patrick Allen, lived here with his family in three small rooms in 1901. Now the floor area of the living quarters has been extended to 115 Mts sq. The ground floor of this self catering accommodation consists of a fully fitted kitchen complete with washer/dryer machine, a living room with a large sofa bed, armchairs, dining table and chairs, TV, and a solid fuel wood burning stove; and a ground floor bathroom complete with walk in shower. The upper floor has two bedrooms, one with a double bed, and the other with two double beds and an en-suite. The accommodation is fully central heated. It has all the advantages of self catering accommodation: safe for children, secure car parking, outside space with garden furniture, barbecue facilities, and covered external drying space. Visitors are welcome to wander and explore the gardens which have been planted over the last hundred years and have a mixture of native and non native plants, shrubs, and trees.
