Description
Enjoy a comfortable stay in this thoughtfully designed one-bedroom apartment, set in a historic 1930s Modernist building. Carefully renovated to preserve its original charm, the space is bright, inviting, and enriched with artwork by my favourite Latvian artists. Whether you’re visiting Riga for work or leisure, this apartment offers a warm and well-equipped home base—perfect for solo travelers, couples, or parents with a baby. The space The bedroom features a king-size bed (180x200 cm) with a high-quality King Koil mattress, along with a built-in wardrobe offering ample storage. Large windows are dressed with sheer and room-darkening curtains—while not fully blackout, they help create a darker setting for restful sleep. The cozy living area includes a sofa and a smart TV with a TET TV+ subscription for movies, TV series, and international channels. The fully equipped kitchen includes all the essentials for everyday cooking, along with an induction cooktop, oven, fridge, freezer, Nespresso coffee machine, toaster, kettle, milk frother, blender, and dishwasher. There’s also an all-in-one washer and dryer for your convenience. Complimentary tea, coffee, bottled water, and a few pantry staples are always provided. The large round dining table by the big window offers a bright and airy spot to enjoy a meal or get some work done. With natural light streaming in, it creates an inspiring and comfortable place to settle in. Many guests, including long-term visitors, have found it to be a perfect workspace. The bathroom includes a bathtub, bidetta hand shower, electric towel rack, and hairdryer. Fresh towels, shampoo, conditioner, and other essentials are available. Additional amenities include an iron, ironing board, drying rack, and vacuum cleaner, making the apartment well-suited for both short and long stays. Apartment Details: - 59 sq m, located on the third level of the building. - Good Wi-Fi coverage throughout. - A baby travel cot and high chair available upon advance request. - Open-plan layout with no door between the living room and bedroom. - A small grocery store conveniently located on the ground level. - Easy check-in and access with a Yale smart lock system. - The bed is equipped with a King Koil mattress featuring pocketed springs and comfort layers. The surface has texture and contours, which may feel new if you haven’t slept on this type of mattress before, but it’s designed to provide balanced support and comfort. - As in most of the city, the apartment has central heating during the colder months (typically October–April), with adjustable radiators. If the temperature feels a bit cooler or warmer than you’d like, you’re welcome to adjust the thermostats next to each radiator—or simply let me know, and I’ll be happy to help or adjust the settings remotely. During transitional seasons, when central heating may not yet be on or has just been turned off, the wall-mounted electric heaters provide a little extra warmth if the weather turns chilly. Please note that the building, built in 1932 and almost 100 years old, has recently undergone renovations, both on the facade and in some interior areas. A few finishing touches in the shared areas might still happen at some point. The elevator works, but it’s quite old—I personally like to take the stairs! :) Inside the apartment, the former balcony is now a large, bright window area. We hope to rebuild the balcony one day, though no work is planned for 2026. Thank you for your understanding as the building continues to improve over time! Guest access Guests have exclusive access to the entire apartment, ensuring privacy and comfort.
