Our Traditional House is perfectly located in the peaceful & serene rural countryside of Ayia Varvara; offering boutique style modern luxury living. It is ideal for any kind of traveller; families, couples or small groups. Only a short drive to the major cities of Nicosia & Larnaca; you can have access the islands key historical & cultural points but also beautiful sandy beaches. Enjoy a fun filled holiday or relax in a tranquil private setting, whatever you prefer this location offers it all! The space Our Traditional House is a small piece of private paradise well-kept in the beautiful village of Ayia Varvara. Parts of the property stand true to its 100-year-old architectural form, which was the original home of the owning family's ancestors. The interior is enriched with authentic family heirlooms and traditional Cypriot home decor, which strongly enhance the legacy and the inheritance of preserved native Cypriot customs and traditions that have been passed on from generation to generation. The kitchen/pantry areas are maintained in the original building and are fully equipped with all basic cooking necessities and kitchen appliances. The living room is open plan and allows comfort living with a widescreen TV and pool view. A bar is also located in the living room for your events entertainment. The bedrooms have been newly built and renovated, offering boutique style contemporary luxury living, whilst combining the benefits of a natural agrotourism setting. The rooms are all equipped with ensuite facilities, orthopaedic mattresses, brand new AC units [both hot/cold air], a stable WI-FI connection and balcony with pool view. The communal areas consist of the pool area and amenities such as outdoor washrooms, covered kiosk, outdoor furniture and garden. A BBQ/grilling space is also available for your enjoyable outdoor cooking and a Cyprus traditional oven for the more conventional way of food preparation. The biggest plus is that the garden is covered with authentic herbs and scents of Cyprus which fill the air with a strong Mediterranean aroma which you can use at your own discretion. [You are more than welcome to pick the herbs and use for tea or cooking, but you are strongly advised to do so in accordance to your own dietary restrictions/allergies etc. as we do not bare any responsibility for any side effects or allergies or food intolerances etc. caused by using the herbs]. Furthermore, free street parking is available outside the premises but also private parking on premises with a gated control. Disabled access has also been taken into consideration with a ramp leading directly from the private parking space into the property grounds. Finally, a welcome pack upon arrival will also be provided with traditional Cypriot treats, the house rules and also plenty of suggestions on what to do, what to see and most importantly what to eat in our beautiful island! Guest access Guests can access all areas of our property apart from the "Anoi" space above the kitchen and the storage space behind the kitchen as these are locked for the owners personal use. Other than that, all other spaces including the kitchen, living room, bedrooms, outdoor kiosk, pool, garden and garden furniture are accessible to the guests. Other things to note All Covid-19 cleaning and set up protocols are strictly kept from our behalf for your safety. All our properties are conducted with pest control, health & sanitation checks at the beginning and end of each season. Our AC units go through maintenance and mechanical service once a year. For WiFi speed upgrades we can accommodate this for you if needed at your own additional expense. Due to the current pandemic, self check in and self check out procedures are conducted by the guests alone. Detailed instructions are given a day before arrival and departure. Our check in & check out times are super flexible so go ahead and request that early check in and late check out and make the most of your stay! If however, we have a same day check in / check out on the day that you arrive/depart; then please note that we will do our best to accommodate your request but we also need to take into consideration our departing or new arriving guests :) Furthermore, in the circumstances that a very early or late / self check in is required [for check ins before 08:00 and as of 18:00 onwards] we provide various options for key delivery including delivery directly to the airport [extra charges apply]. Pool and garden maintenance occurs twice per week. For the little ones if you will need a travel baby crib or a high chair; please do let us know in advance to arrange [NO Extra charges apply for this additional service]. For the beach, we are happy to provide beach towels at the following charge: 2 x beach towels = 10 euros 4 x beach towels = 16 euros 6 x beach towels = 24 euros 8 x beach towels = 30 euros Please treat our property as you would your own; and please do make sure to put everything back into its place before you check out if you happen to move things around such as furniture etc. Thank You!
