The Pine Cottage sits atop a grassy hill facing Blue Hill Bay and the outer islands. The screened porch overlooks Bass Harbor and the setting sun. Quaint and cozy, this traditional private 'mix and match' cottage is surrounded by pine trees and has cool summer breezes. High tide wading and tidal kayak launching are just steps away. A staircase to the shore offers easy access to our rocky beach where guests watch seabirds and the changing tide. Acadia is right around the corner and moments away. The space The Pine Cottage has an electric fireplace, living area with flat-screen Roku television, skylight, basic kitchen with refrigerator, pots and pans, tableware, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and full oven/stove combination. Please bring condiments, spices and bakeware. There is a 'starter set' of dishwasher detergent, dish detergent, sponge, brillo pad, paper towels. toilet paper, facial and deodorant soap. There are two bedrooms, one with a queen, firm mattress and bottom up shades. The other bedroom has a double bed. Bed and bath linen (3 towels/3 washcloths per person plus bath mat, per stay) are provided. Please bring your own kitchen linen and beach towels. Blankets, pillows and bedspreads are provided. Two persons, including children and the 'little ones.' Guest access Our tidal waterfront setting is perfect for birding. Take the staircase to the shore and bring your watershoes for wading at high tide.
