Casa do Talasnal

Located in the beautiful village of Talasnal, the house offers a unique and genuine experience of a typical shale house in a comfortable, cozy and rustic environment at the same time. The breathtaking views of the mountain, the village, and the magnificent private pool allow you to enjoy memorable days of tranquility while you can hear the chirping of birds and the running waters of a small stream. The space The restoration of the house was completed in 2011 with full respect for the past, using the typical materials of the region, the schist stone and chestnut wood combined with glass and iron. The interior was provided with all the comfort and the facilities required nowadays. The house is developed on three floors, all with access from the outside. It has three bedrooms each one with a bathroom giving total privacy to guests. The ground floor has a kitchen and dining room with a stove. On the 1st floor you’ll find a large living room with an open fireplace and a en-suite bedroom. Up at the 2nd floor it has two more en-suite bedrooms, one with a stove and the other with a mezzanine floor and with access to a small balcony. Authentic furniture elements such as fabrics, sofas and chairs were specially restored and brought from England and Scotland for the interior decoration of the house. Other things to note At the village there is a typical restaurant where you can taste the delicacies of the region, cafés that serve delicious cakes and light meals. Nearby you can explore several schist villages, natural pools, and even the place where the ice that was used by the royalty in Lisbon was produced back in time.
