Villa Silo - an adorable apartment at Suomenlinna

Villa Silo, located on the Suomenlinna Sea Fortress Island - one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites in Finland. The space Villa Silo is a charming apartment on the ground floor in an old wooden house, which was built in 1880 and used to be a food store. Villa Silo was opened in 2020. In the same building there is a coffee house, Café Silo, with homemade pastries and delicious drinks, which you can come and enjoy within the opening hours of the café. Guest access You reach Villa Silo by taking the ferry boat from the Market Square to Suomenlinna. From the ferry boat you will have a magnificent view to Helsinki and the trip takes about 15 minutes. If you already have a valid HSL ticket it applies for the ferry too. From the main pier in Suomenlinna you will walk within 3-5 minutes to us, just walk through the arch of the pink Rantakasarmi building next to the pier! You will get a key for your private entrance door to Villa Silo, so you will absolutely have your own privacy during your stay, and you come and go as you please. The check-in time is starting from 15:00 hrs and the check-out is latest at 12:00 hrs. All the necessary information for the check-in you will get with the confirmation for your booking. Other things to note There are basic supplies available in the kitchenette of Villa Silo, so you don’t have to buy any coffee, tea, cocoa, sugar, milk, oil, vinegar, salt or pepper. In about 20 meters there is a small supermarket where you can find everything you need for cooking. Everything for washing dishes is there too as well as toiletries in the bathroom and a hairdryer as well as the ironing board and iron are available. The tab water is pure and delicious – just drink and enjoy! In the bedroom there is a double bed of 160 cm and the sofa bed (140 cm) in the living room accommodates max. two adults. For babies and small infants there is a baby cot with a blanket, pillow and bedlinen. To respect the families living in the same building we kindly ask you to keep the music, tv or any other sound level low between 22:00 – 07:00 hrs. Smoking is not allowed in the apartment nor at the terrace of the house and we cannot accept any pets as we want to guarantee a pleasant stay also for visitors with pet allergies.
