The apartment, with a capacity of five people (maximum 4 adults) is situated in the Domus Iberian Complex in Burgau, a pretty, picturesque, fishing beachside village on the edge of the Vicentina Coast National Park. It is fully equipped and furnished with every comfort for a relaxing holiday including air-conditioning / heating in the sitting room and both bedrooms. The double, main bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. The twin bedroom opens to the balcony, which has a built-in BBQ, awning and outdoor furniture and offers a nice view of the sea. These views are impressive from the large private roof terrace, which has plenty of seating and sun loungers. Also upstairs there is a private storage room ideal for keeping golf clubs, surf boards etc. The village is a 2 minute walk away. The superb sandy beach is a 5 minute walk away. Burgau is just one hour away from Faro international airport. It is surrounded by amazing beaches and picturesque towns, so it can very conveniently be used as a base for excursions. The town itself and its beach are some of the least spoiled in the Algarve but it offers a great variety of bars, restaurants along with local shops, ATM, a supermarket, a bus stop, taxi rank and a Sports Center. Notes: We provide a welcome pack of essential items. There is a private underground car parking space. A travel cot and high chair can be available free of charge if requested in advance. The property manager is very efficient, speaks English fluently and is always helpful and on hand in case of need. Excursion recommendations Burgau Beach and the nearby Luz Beach and Salema is one of the Algarve's south facing beaches, more sheltered and ideal for younger families. But you can also enjoy the northwestern beaches Castelejo, Monte Clerigo, Arrifana, Amado Beach, which are very popular among surfers. There is a great variety of walking trips on the Vincentian Route, but you can always hike to the magnificent Old Huts while enjoying the great sea views. In the extreme south western point, the lighthouse in the Cape of Sao Vicente (20 minutes drive) is an obligatory visit for outstanding sunsets. Lagos (9 km east of Burgau) is one of the Algarve's most attractive and historic towns. It offers excellent beaches (Meia Praia, Dona Ana Beach, Mos Port) Boat trips along the coast are very popular and an option for children (dolphin watching), but a visit to the Lagos Zoo will make them unquestionably happy. Other attractions they will enjoy are Zoomarine, about 40 minutes drive, and water parks.
