Welcome to our recently remodeled Carriage House Loft Apartment! We're happy to share our simple, comfortable, cozy space with you. Refurbished original hard wood floors with updated kitchenette area and bathroom. Charming and convenient, walk two blocks to the Cardinal Greenway & White River trails, and one mile to downtown Muncie! Perfect for 2 - 4 people, or a family with an infant/toddler. Enjoy self-check-in, privacy, & dedicated parking steps from the entrance. The space - This is a great, unique space for a single, couple, or family with small children. - Furniture and furnishings are clean and up to date. The kitchen table seats 4 people easily. (A booster chair is available for use upon request.) - We provide a fridge, microwave, range/oven and a coffee pot for extended stay guests or those who just prefer to do their own cooking! -We provide a white noise machine and portable fan. Guest access Things to Do Within Walking/Biking Distance: The Cardinal Greenway access is located three blocks directly north. It provides sixty miles of continuous walking, running, and biking trails. A lovely restored historic train depot is the trailhead about ½ mile down the path. The White River Walkway connects near the train depot. The Walkway is a twelve mile path that runs along the White River. Minnetrista Gardens, Bob Ross Experience and historic Ball mansions are a 1.5 mile walk/bike to the northwest using the Cardinal Greenway and White River Walkway. Muncie Farmers Market (May-Oct) is held every Saturday 9-12 at Minnestrista. Downtown Muncie is a one mile walk straight west on Main St. with several lovely locally sourced restaurants, breweries, and coffee shops, live theater, "First Thursdays" arts walk, and frequent outdoor entertainment at Canan Commons. Other things to note Please know that train traffic, car traffic and other "city noises" are an intermittent part of this landscape. If you are a light sleeper, you might want to consider using our white noise machine, fans, "rain" app on your phone, ear plugs, or whatever usually works for you.) Our family of 6 (plus Mikey the dog) lives in the "main house." While we are definitely not throwing loud and wild parties, we do LIVE here, so you will hear sounds of us coming and going and just generally living our lives. :-) If you are looking for a silent retreat space or need absolute silence to get a good night sleep, this loft space will not be a good fit for you. NO SMOKING OR VAPING of any kind is permitted on the property, inside or outside.
