The Bunker

The Bunker is a quirky retreat for outdoor lovers with the beautiful Peak District right outside your door. A self contained space with private entrance, and outside seating area. Excellent walking in all directions right from the doorstep. The space Other things to note There is a village shop selling essential supplies in Longnor, a Post Office/deli, and a fish and chip shop (1 mile away). The Pack Horse Inn is 1 mile walk away (closed Mon/Tue) with other pubs in Longnor, Hurdlow and Hartington. Nearest town Buxton is a 10 minute drive away. The Bunker is well equipped for 2 people, don't expect 5 star luxury, We are not a hotel, this is basic no frills accommodation, But if you fancy a comfy bed, log fire and the country side on your doorstep, then book with us. The Bunker has its own entrance, a double bed, log burner with a scuttle of coal, basket of logs, sticks and firelighters included. We provide fresh bed linen and towels, ninja air fryer, kettle, mini fridge, microwave and cutlery and plates, there is no kitchen. There is a shower and toilet. There is an outside patio area with table and chairs, for when you wish to sit outside on an evening. There is onsite secure parking for motorcycles A short drive away, the historic spa town of Buxton provides both culture in the form of the Opera House, and practicality in the form of the Waitrose supermarket, which is open until 8pm. There are wonderful hikes right from the doorstep to the dramatic peaks of nearby High Wheeldon and Parkhouse Hill, or on to Chrome Hill and the Roaches beyond. The quiet, local roads and the Tissington and High Peak Trails provide more gentle routes for cyclists or walkers in inclement weather. Other things to note The living space is 6ft high There is No Kitchen, just basic facilities, Microwave, kettle and toaster and mini fridge The bunker will be chilly until the Log burner is lit Upgraded Wi-Fi now installed A maximum of 2 dogs only and please do not allow dogs in the pond as they will tear the pond liner ! Please do not leave dogs unattended unless in your own dog crate.
