Quinua Boutique Apartments

Description

Our Panoramic Penthouse is located in the famous colonial quarter of San Blas and has a spectacular view over the entire historic center of Cusco. The level of design and details put the apartment in a category of superior quality. The apartment has high speed wi-fi. The perfect place for couples and business or study trips. If you'd like separate beds, they can be added for an extra charge. For those traveling for work, we offer high-speed Wi-Fi. The space The Panoramic Penthouse is the home fortress of the puma and the warrior. These are the warriors of the time, which you can recognise from the central sculpture in the living room. A work made up of the four Inca warriors who had the task of guarding the four suyos (the four sides of the Inca Empire). A large table with six chairs invites the guest to become the sixth warrior. The sculpture is accompanied by two smaller armchairs made of llama leather in an exclusive design and an extra large sofa, all in turn collected around the fireplace. Traditional wall hangings decorate the walls and are mirrored in the cushions. Original fragments of Inca pottery from the Imperial time – which were unearthed by the archaeological excavations on site – convey moments and pictures of imperial Cusco, just like an on site museum. Thanks to its aesthetics, the bedroom becomes the heart of the apartment. It is a place that is full of colour where you can lay your weapons down and return to a more playful life. On the base of white pine, we can admire the graphic drawings of local artist Miguel Angel Araoz Cartagena. The bedroom has a large double bed measuring 1.70x2 metres (bigger than a Queen size bed). IMPORTANT: Mattress is the highest quality: super-orthopaedic Latex Bamboo (with Memory Foam pillows). The bathroom has stone decorations, as well as a small inner garden. The hand-carved hands made of nogal (walnut) wood captivate the viewer and round off the rich atmosphere. This large apartment stands out due to its natural light and a spectacular and dominating vista over the city of Cusco. Moreover, it has a balcony which faces the atrium with a majestic view of the monumental Inca fortress of Sacsayhuaman, which catches the sun when it goes down. To understand the quality of the place, we recommend looking at the photos ... here we can complete a few points: HEATING: it is a very important point because in Cusco the cold can be strong. The apartment has an efficient heating system that allows to have an ideal temperature. WATER: this is another very sensitive point in Cusco because the distribution of water in the city is intermittent: the property has a water storage system (and pressure control), so always has water in the apartment and with due pressure. A water-heater is responsible for heating the water, so both in the bathroom and in the kitchen there is hot water. WI-FI: available and included in the rate CLEANING: we deliver the apartment cleaned. If you stay more days and want to have an extra cleaning of the apartment, just ask and schedule the extra cleaning with the person in charge. Extra cleaning costs US $ 20.00 and includes the change of sheets and towels. KITCHEN: the kitchen is complete with everything: 4-burner stove for cooking, refrigerator, microwave oven, blender, coffee maker, toaster and a set of pots and utensils that allow you to cook whatever you want. BED: we took seriously in consideration the quality of the sleep. The mattress is a extra-large size (1.70 x 2.00 meters, bigger than a Queen size mattress) super-orthopaedic and the pillows are memory foam quality AND... sheets and towels are part of the normal equipment of the apartment. Since the apartment has already a heating system working (included in the rate), It is possible to add up to 02 extra beds (not included in the rate). FIREPLACE: The apartment has a fireplace which is free to use. There are two ways to get firewood: you can buy it yourself in the local markets or we can buy it for you at a cost of 49.00 Peruvian Soles per load of firewood (including transport), the reservation is made in advance for the purchase of firewood. Firewood is not sold from November to March due to the rainy season. IMPORTANT: Our Panoramic Penthouse is located in a quiet pedestrian street that enjoyes a special tranquillity to our place. IT IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW that our building is not reachable by car and that is necessary to walk a flight of stais before getting to the place. We ask to the people that can see this point as a problem to take it in consideration and contact us if they want more information about this aspect. Other things to note ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FIREPLACE: The apartment has a fireplace which is free to use. In contrast to the historic centre that borders it, San Blas is situated on a hill that offers magnificent views of the ancient Inca capital. It is built around a beautiful colonial church, whose famous hand-carved cedar pulpit is considered one of the most important works of carpentry in Peru, if not the entire continent. San Blas is the craftsmen's and artists' quarter, where you can find exhibitions by young talents alongside the big names of the local scene. The area is full of hotels, hostels, restaurants, cafés and pubs, so much so that San Blas has developed its own nightlife. The neighbourhood retains the warmth of its narrow cobbled streets, its houses covered in typical Cusco stone, with their antique gates, Spanish atriums and pretty balconies.
