Secluded & Quiet Peak District retreat

Old converted barn with beautiful self contained 2 story apartment set is the lovely rolling hills of the west Peak District, far enough away for a complete disconnect, but close to Bollington, Macclesfield and Buxton Excellent walking, mountain biking and cycling, plus great rock climbing just up the lane! https://www.instagram.com/invites/contact/?i=18n65wtztf3jx&utm_content=di174iz The space The cottage is set within a beautiful working well maintained farm. The cottage is a converted barn. We are located in the Peak District in a walking hotspot. There are beautiful grounds and woodlands to wander. The cottage is very cosy, and is a lovely get away even when the weathers miserable outside. There are facilities to store bikes and wash dogs! We have an abundance of hiking routes straight from our doorstep. There are also climbing rocks within two miles of the cottage too (Windgather rocks). We have several types of red listed birds within the farm, and is a must for birdwatchers. The lanes are frequently used by the British Cycling team, but not for the faint hearted! :) Guest access We will include these on the day of arrival in a private message. Other things to note -The cottage is accessed down a long farm track. In winter months, please be aware we do live in the Peak District and the lanes are small and winded, this can be effected considerably by weather such as snow and ice. In heavy periods of rainfall, the lanes can subject to standing water. - Well behaved dogs welcome. 2 max. - not suitable for small children - the cottage has a mezzanine which is high and no child stairgates (no under 5’s) There is also a wood burning stove that can get very hot and could burn small children -first basket of wood for the burner is free, extra basket of logs are available for £10 - Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times due to livestock on the farm. - Dogs are not allowed upstairs and are to be kept downstairs, we have a stair gate, also feel free to bring your own crate or borrow one of ours (we have a medium and small crate available). - Should you wish to wash your dog, there is an outside tap available. - An additional cleaning fee will be added for those staying with dogs. Please select the pet option when booking or £15 paid cash on arrival. (Let us know still if you are bringing a dog 🐶 ) Keep a eye out for some really wild experiences! We have regular visits from our local Red deer herds, greater spotted wood peckers, lapwings, hare, badgers, foxes, And other Marsh land birds.
