Holmlea - Period cottage in Ditchling. Holmlea was built in 1906 and is an end-of-terrace three-storey cottage on a pretty village lane. The house is located central to the village, in walking distance of two fantastic pubs, a cafe, a tea room, the village post office and local shop. Ditchling is nestled in the South Downs National Park and is surrounded by picturesque country walks, as well as being close to Brighton and Lewes. It is 1.5 miles to Hassocks mainline train station. The space The cottage has many original features and has been lovingly restored over the past few years. The ground floor is open-plan and consists of a sitting room with feature fireplace, dining room with table and chairs and well-stocked kitchen. On the first floor there is a master bedroom with double bed and beautifully finished ensuite shower room. There is also a bright family bathroom on this floor. Both bathrooms have underfloor heating. On the top floor there is another large double bedroom with skylight providing expansive views to the South Downs. A small toddler's bed or cot is available in this room on request. There is a sunny south-facing garden with patio area and table and chairs. Guests will have access to the whole property apart from one small bedroom on the first floor where we keep some belongings when we are away. Other things to note We tend not to use the front door-access is up the side drive and through the rear of the property.
