Other things to note Culinary delights: When it comes to delicious food, the green region around Meckenheim has a lot to offer. I personally like to recommend restaurants to guests that I also enjoy visiting. These include the Blumenhof restaurant or the Stellwerk restaurant in Meckenheim, but also the Brauhaus or the Mexican Mosquito in Rheinbach. Sports activities and entertainment: The green region around Meckenheim has numerous offers in terms of historical activities and entertainment. You can quickly reach Cologne and Bonn, which offers a variety of possibilities. There are countless museums that address a wide variety of historical or artistic topics. These include the Rhineland State Museum and the Art Museum, as well as the House of History and the Zoological Museum. The Beethoven Museum is also worth a visit, as are the castles in the region such as the Godesburg or the Adendorf Castle or Lüftelberg Castle. For adventurous guests, I recommend the go-kart track in Cologne, the trampoline park in Troisdorf or the summer toboggan run in Altenahr. The Aqualand in Cologne with its slides always promises a lot of fun, as well as the Monte Mare in Rheinbach, where diving courses are held and introductory lessons can be booked. If you need even more adrenaline, Phantasialand in Brühl is the right place for you. If you are interested in golf, you should pay a visit to the Golf Club Schloss Miel. Animal lovers might like Sea Life in Königswinter or the Rolandseck Zoo. And a highlight for all those with a sweet tooth is certainly the Haribo Store in Bonn or the Chocolate Museum in Cologne.
