The space 2 bedroomed cosy cottage - fully renovated to high standard -that was originally a medical dispensary. I N S T A theolddispensarylabasheeda. There is a beautiful view of the river Shannon from the front door and garden. There is an open plan living dining kitchen area with a solid fuel stove to warm yourself. There is also gas central heating and instant unlimited hot water. Very stylish and comfortable. Lots of natural light. Laundry facilities and a freezer are in a small shed on the property. All necessities for self catering are provided in the house. Patio and garden furniture for sunset barbecue and beverages. Guest access Laundry - washer and dryer and freezer and extra drinks fridge are situated in small shed in the garden. Garden and parking on property. Gates for safety. Other things to note Labasheeda is a small quiet rural community on the Shannon estuary. There is a lovely quay to swim at when the tide is in. There’s 1 local pub - Casey’s - which has great Guinness. There is 1 cafe in the village Charmbee - with limited opening at weekends only and school Holidays - serving from 10-4pm breakfast, lunch, teas, coffee and pastries. They offer custom silver jewellery and paint your own pottery. There is a post office in labasheeda. There is no grocery shop. The Battery Castle in labasheeda is a great place to explore and has fantastic views across the Shannon to Kerry and Limerick. >Nearby Kildysart (10 min drive away from Labasheeda) has a great Centra grocery store that has a good variety of fresh bread vegetables and fruit and cupboard staples. They also have a deli and hot counter. They are open from 7am until 8/9pm. There is a hardware, post office, pharmacy, butchers also in village. There are 2 take aways open in the evening and a cafe/bistro called Annie’s which is open during the day and evenings at the weekend for outdoor or take- away dining. The nearest large town is Kilrush (approx 20km). There are 3 supermarkets and many other shops to visit in the town. There’s are many places to eat and take aways. There is the beautiful Vandeleur walled garden and cafe there. There is a lovely marina from where you can take boats trips to see dolphins or to the historic Scattery Island. Kilkee and the Loophead peninsula are definately not to be missed if you have some time to explore the Wild Atlantic Way. The house is also less than a 15min drive to the Killimer - Tarbert Ferry to Kerry.
