Millstone Cottage. Nr Bamburgh, by a babbling burn

Millstone Cottage, located just outside the beautiful historic town of Bamburgh. It is a detached cottage with 2 good sized bedrooms, a bathroom with an over the bath shower, dining kitchen, living room and beautiful conservatory looking onto a well kept secure garden and gently flowing burn. There is private parking at the front of the cottage and there are a few steps both leading into the front and rear of the cottage. It is situated rurally so a car is definitely recommended. The space Our lovely Millstone Cottage, which sleeps 4, has been in our family now for over 22 years, we have holidayed here all through these years and continue to do so as we just love it so much! All living space is on one level with a few steps leading from the rear decking into the garden and out the front door to the parking area at the front of the cottage. Bedroom 1 is a spacious room with king sized bed and fitted mirrored wardrobes, dressing table and chair and bedside cabinets and looks out over the rear garden while bedroom 2 with 2 single beds, bedside table and fitted mirrored wardrobes is situated to the front of the cottage. The fresh, bright dining kitchen is well stocked and has a table which comfortably seats four. We provide cleaning materials, teabags,coffee, cling film, tinfoil, salt and pepper and a few dishwasher tablets for your use. There are also spare batteries and lightbulbs in the hall cupboard should you need them. There is a Nespresso machine available should you wish to bring your own pods. The living room is spacious with 3 double sofa's and a large TV with Netflix which is available for your use during your stay, please select the Millstone Cottage user option. There are also books, dvds and lots of local information for you to browse through. We also provide a welcome book with ideas for days out and places to eat nearby. There are a few boardgames available to keep you busy on a rainy day. From the living room you have access to our beautiful bright and airy conservatory which has a beautiful view over our garden, the stream and the field beyond, some of our guests have spotted a rarely seen kingfisher flying along the water. There is a portable oil heater available in the conservatory as it gets a little chilly in here during the winter. Our secluded garden is a real suntrap during the summer months, please help yourself to the sunloungers which are stored in the garden hut. The cottage is located only a couple of miles from both Bamburgh and Belford where there are an abundance of shops, cafes and restaurants. A little further away is the busy town of Seahouses where you can climb on a boat which will take you out to the famous Farne Islands to see the beautiful Puffins. There is a supermarket and variety of cafes, restaurants and of course some fish and chip shops here too. Only a short walk from the cottage is Budle Bay which is very popular with bird watchers who come from far and wide to see some of the rare species of birds and geese who choose to stop here for a visit. Around a 10 minute drive is Holy Island also known as Lindisfarne, which is a coastal Island and can be accessed only during low tides, times can be found on the local Northumbrian council website. I could go on forever, there's just so much to see and do but the main thing is we really just hope you can relax and enjoy your stay at our beautiful cottage as much as we do!.
