Description
Wayside is a little gem, tucked away on a track in the corner of the Moor, a beautiful village green in the historic wealden village of Hawkhurst. We aim for optimum hygge with our simple, comfortable interior and cosy woodburning stove. Outside is the wide open space of the Moor, plus two areas of enclosed garden. Wayside is the perfect base for memorable day-trips – Sissinghurst, Great Dixter, Bodiam Castle, Battle, Rye, Camber, Lewes, Hastings and many beautiful National Trust properties. The space Wayside has a bright open-plan living room with a dining area and two sofas and a wood-burning stove, and windows on three sides. The bedrooms are cosy and the beds comfortable. There is a slightly shorter single bed (with folding legs) that pulls out from beneath the single bed for the 4th guest. The spacious bathroom has a decent shower over the bath for those who prefer not to lounge around in the large double-ended bathtub! The kitchen is small but perfectly formed, and you should find everything you need. The conservatory is ideal for those less-than-perfect "well-it-is-England" days which we all know and love, but for the warmer days there is a choice of two small gardens to sit and relax in... Guest access Guests have full use of the house and garden, but no access to the garden sheds.
