Lovely cabin overlooking lake Mjøsa - 1h from Oslo

The cabin has fantastic views, surrounded by woods and beautiful nature. This simple, rustic and stylish cabin is great for couples, families, backpackers, people who are looking for a city break and want to experience Norwegian nature. A great place for a holiday, skiing in the winter, and also a quiet and peaceful place to work from, with fast WiFi. The cabin is overlooking the largest lake in Norway, in the village of Feiring. Approx. 60 minutes by car from Oslo, and 35 min from Oslo Airport The space The cabin was renovated in 2020: a fully equipped modern kitchen with dish washer and a new bathroom with shower, toilet and a washing machine. The living room is spacious with a log burner and amazing views. Two bedrooms on the second floor with 1 double bed and two single beds. In addition there is a single bed in the hallway upstairs. We can also provide an extra floor mattress and a baby cot and highchair ( + Tripp trapp toddler chair). There is a lovely outdoor terrace and garden where you can relax, enjoy the views and have a bbq. The cabin is surrounded by woods and a few neighbour houses. Approx 2 km to the lake, great for swimming in the summer. Beautiful nature, hiking terrain, and fishing lakes close-by. Great spot for berry and mushroom-picking in the autumn, and amazing cross-country skiing opportunities in the winter. If you prefer downhill skiing or snowboarding, Hurdal Ski Centre is a 25 mins drive away. It’s also possible to go ice skating at Feiring Skole (school) , but you need to bring your own equipment. The cabin is also a good place to work from, as a temporary 'home office' or a 'writing shed', good WiFi connection, quiet surroundings w/ lovely views over lake Mjøsa. Guest access The entire house and garden. Other things to note It's recommended to have a car. Public transport from Oslo Airport and Oslo is a bit limited (no buses at the weekends), please contact us for more info. There is a grocery shop in the village and you can also get groceries delivered with the app Oda (often better prices/selection). There are no restaurants or cafes in the village, you will find options within a 30 mins drive away towards either Eidsvoll or Toten, 35 mins/40 mins to the bigger towns Jessheim and Gjøvik. 90 mins drive to Lillehammer. 35 mins drive to Oslo Airport Gardermoen, 60 mins to Oslo.
