Pristine, family-friendly, gardens, terrace, walk to beach/piazzetta
This newly renovated villa is surrounded by beautiful private gardens and high hedges. Lovely shady terraces to enjoy alfresco dining, roof terrace for sunbathing. Just a 3 minute walk to market and beach! The space The weathered, Indonesian antique gate leads you through the garden and up to the main entrance of Villa Olivia. The combined lounge and dining area has large french doors, letting you enjoy the comfort of this area while still admiring the wonderful gardens, and over the hedge tops to the glittering sea (great should you be in the villa during the cooler months of the summer). While pale marble floors and white-washed walls remind you you're in the Mediterranean, the stylish furnishings and fittings give the villa an artistic air. The kitchen is contemporary and fun to cook in– stainless steel units gleam and invite the most hesitant of cooks to have a go! Oven, gas hob, dishwasher refrigerator are the standard equipment, and there's a door that leads out of the kitchen onto the terrace that surrounds the whole villa. Leading from one side of the lounge area is the master double bedroom with ensuite bath and on the other side of the lounge is a curving open granite stair taking you down to a further king bedroom with ensuite bath, and a twin bedroom or queen with bath. The fabulous terrace that surrounds Villa Olivia is furnished with comfortable lounging and dining furniture, and for those avid sun-worshippers there's a private roof terrace with views of the sea, Maddalena, and nearby mountains where you can catch the rays at all times of the day. Other things to note- There is a little market just a three minute walk from the Villa, plus a coffee shop and beautiful piazzetta with beach and shopping and dining during high season. Palau is a small port city located ten minutes from Porto Rafael. It is where you can find large supermarkets, a pharmacy, restaurants, shopping and tourist information. Porto Pollo is about 15 minutes away for windsurfing, sailing and great stretches of beach. The ferry for Bonifacio, Corsica leaves from Santa Teresa (a 25 minute drive) and is definitely worth seeing!
