Emmaus stands in the tradition of radical hospitality. At sun set the hosts are usually enjoying something on the main house’s veranda and anyone is welcome to join. Emmaus is a place where we expect meaningful encounters with the strangers on our way … going forth amazed about Life’s presence on the way. “Stay with us, for it is nearly evening; the day is almost over.” The space Newly architect-renovated contemporary apartment, which has the following: Safe under-roof parking; a queen size bed with Egyptian linen; as well as a sleeping couch for an extra guest; or another extra private room at the back of the flat with a three quarter bed, desk and chair, roof fan, own service station and en suite toilet and shower; air conditioning in the sleep and living area and roof fan in kitchen; fully equipped kitchen; own patio and enclosed garden with braai facilities; spacious and modern bathroom with shower; a desk (for those who need to work); book case with significant book or two; full DSTV to relax with; WiFi to stay connected; transport from and to the airport (available at a minimal extra cost); breakfast; excellent location in a still and quiet suburb; yet still close to a variety of shopping centers with various places to shop or eat at; and is also a pet-friendly space. Guest access Emmaus is fully fenced off from the main house to ensure the privacy of both the hosts and guests. During your stay We are quite willing to help, assist and advise where necessary; also to hear and consider special needs or requests. Other things to note We have three children (9, 10 and 12), as well as three friendly-though-awake dogs. Two Irish Setters, Miss D'Arcy and Saint Bastian, as well as Smirre, a Sprocker (mix between Cocker and Springer) Spaniel. They are also very special guests at our home who surely hope to make a positive impact on other guests' stay.
