Description
FULLY REFURBISHED PHOTOS Stores Cottage is a unique, historic, beamed and thatched 16th Century grade II listed cottage in the heart of a traditional broadland Norfolk village, a stroll from the local pub, butchers or store. Dogs permitted with agreement. 1 mile from the Norfolk Broads at Ludham Bridge, 8 miles from unspoilt beaches of Sea Palling / Horsey and 4 miles from Bewilderwood. open lounge, new kitchen, courtyard and side garden. Own private parking space (lots of on-street parking). The space After parking in the private space opposite the garden, you enter the property through a picket fence gate and a barn door. You are welcomed by an open-plan, newly fitted and well-equipped kitchen which leads into an open-plan lounge via a step down. Slate tiles throughout downstairs and newly-fitted carpet up the stairs and in the first- floor bedrooms and hallway. The bathroom is through a double set of latched doors through the kitchen downstairs. Here you have a beautifully tiled room with an electric shower, toilet and sink. There are two 'nooks' that would make storing a pushchair, or something of similar size, very easy and out of the way. The lounge offers an oak dining table and 6 leather-cushioned chairs, 2 large sofas to sink into (one is a double sofa bed, with a new mattress and made up already with a protector and a sheet: the additional double duvet and pillows are provided if the booking is for more than 4) with a matching foot stool, drinks trolley with games and children's books, TV and a nest of tables. Up the beamed and curved stairs (there is an option to pull a retractable gate across to stop any dogs going upstairs) you will find old English cups and saucers on the high shelves to add to the authenticity of the oldest building in the village. The solid oak beds and new firm mattresses with sumptuous duvets and pillows will ensure a restful sleep, after your days out exploring. There is double bedroom first of all on your right, and then a twin-bedded room at the end of the beamed corridor. Storage space offered is a fitted wardrobe in the main double room, and then a low oak unit in the second bedroom. Bedlinen is provided and beds will be made up ready for you. Throughout the property there are newly installed, individual glass-fronted electric wall-mounted radiators, that can be set to ambient temperatures. The garden allows you to watch the world go by in a walled and picket-fenced courtyard space, while sitting on the painted black bistro garden furniture. The cottage boasts history, beams, and character combined with the luxury of modern life. Homely, welcoming and ready to welcome you so that you fall in love with North Norfolk! Guest access Private, large parking space opposite the fenced garden. Other things to note We bought this cottage in 2020, and, as well as carrying out extensive structural works, we have refurbished it to a high standard; newly-fitted kitchen, tiled floor downstairs, new carpets, solid oak beds with firm mattresses, painted throughout and all good quality furniture, fixtures and fittings. It is absolutely beautiful and I have just uploaded new photos from our most recent visit. Please note the blue around the windows is masking tape as the last job is to paint the windows and the fence outside!
