Enjoy this quiet, light-filled 2nd-floor 800 sq ft apartment in my home with 2 bedrooms, full bath with heated floors, small kitchen, living room, screened-in porch, and central AC. Centrally located in the Grand Rapids area and a 10 min drive from downtown. A short walk to the river and park. Located in a quiet residential neighborhood. Off-street parking for up to 2 cars in the driveway. No visitors please. No pets. *Stairs into the apartment may be a mobility/safety concern - see note below* The space This is the upstairs of a 1910 home with its own entrance via an exterior door. This is an older home with all the charms and quirks that come with that. I live downstairs with my own kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, etc. There is an interior door at the bottom of the staircase, locked from my side. I work remotely as a technology consultant and have a cat (Savannah). I've been an Airbnb guest a number of times so I have thought a lot about my own experiences of being a guest and how to create a great experience as a host. **As of Sept 2026, the price you see includes Airbnb's 15.5% Service Fee** Because I live downstairs and work from home, I am looking for guests who share a desire for a quiet stay. For liability reasons and my privacy, only guests on your reservation are allowed on-site. No visitors please. There is a basic kitchen appropriate for light cooking. A washer and dryer are available in the basement of the home. Access would need to be coordinated with me. I use eco-friendly and unscented/low-scent products for cleaning the apartment and washing bedding and towels, brands such as Seventh Generation, Mrs. Meyers, and Branch Basics. I have a couple of sandalwood and amber essential oil reed diffusers in the apartment but no other fragrance. ‼️ The stairs into the apartment are narrow, steep, and creaky and open into the apartment with no door at the top and will frequently be walked by when moving through the apartment -- please see photos at the end of the listing. They may be a concern for anyone with mobility issues or small children.
