The pebbly sandy beach is 2 mins walk and water sports facilities are available during the Summer a further 5 mins walk along the beach at Faros Beach which is a sandy bay. The beach waters here are safe, shallow, calm and warm during the summer. There's a newly opened fish taverna up the steps at Faros (the lighthouse) which is at the corner of the island at the end of Faros Avenue. Perivolia Village (also known as Pervolia) is a 15 minute walk across the road along the unmade road or a five minute drive along the same road. At the village, you will find a grocery shop selling local fresh produce including fresh meats, local fruit and veg, car hire, bike hire and a handful of bars and restaurants. There is a snack bar and a small shop selling limited basic groceries (milk, drinks, bread, cereals) as well as beach inflatables in front of the villa in Faros Avenue. Pervolia and surrounding area is an excellent choice for cycling (local bike hire shop in Pervolia Village). The villa is also excellent for birdwatching. There is currently a couple of Perigrine Falcons living in the tree in the fields. They nest in the same tree every year and can be seen flying regularly. The villa is well suited for flexcationers as we have very good internet and we are located in a convenient location near the airport, motorway and Larnaca town. Kiti Village is past Pervolia Village and has a handful of shops, beauty parlours, barbers, petrol station, pharmacy, policy station and restaurants including the recommended Flavors @ The Landmark restaurant with traditional Greek, Thai, Indian cuisines, dancing, live music with seating both inside or in the attractive quaint outside courtyard. Jacksons Bar next to the small old church in the main square in Kiti is recommended for live sports coverage, food and drink with plenty of inside and outside seating. Camel riding is available in nearly Mazotos village. Larnaca town has a varied array of Cypriot and international restaurants as well as ice cream parlours and fast foods mainly in the Finigouthes seafront promenade (KFC, McDonalds, Burger King, TGI Fridays) and coffee bars (Costa Coffee, Starbucks and Coffee Island etc). Further in town, there are more traditional Cypriot tavernas and local shops and well known chains (Next, M&S, Debenhams, Dorothy Perkins, Zara etc). The tourist office is located at the beginning of the popular Finigouthes beachfront and a few minutes walk is the Pierides Private Archaeological Museum containing over 9,000 years of Cypriot history of artefacts, a post office and Larnaca police station. Emira Pottery is also worth visiting for watching and learning from the master working his magic. Pottery can be custom made or purchased from stock. A visit to Ayios Lazarus church is also worth visiting. The castle at the end of the Finegouthes promenade have special events in the summer including operas, ballets, plays, music concerts and festivals. MacKenzie beach is worth a visit for swimming, food and drink where there are several eateries, bars on the beach front and at night, there are several nightclubs/cocktail bars. MacKenzie beach is located next to Larnaca airport! Parking is available at the large central pay and display car park. Ayia Napa is a 30 minute drive from the villa for the fabulous water park during the day and the infamous nightlight if you feel like dancing all night!
