100-year-old log cabin, which was demolished in the neighboring village in 2008 and rebuilt at our organic mountain farm. Particular care was taken in the use of natural building materials (reed, clay plaster, old wood). Traditional larch shingles serve as roofing. The house is heated by a large kitchen stove and a solar thermal system. The bathroom has underfloor heating. The cozy little house (75 m²) served as our residence for 10 years. The space A place to relax in wonderful nature. A small, charming 100 year old house, newly built with everything we have needed to live with our three children in the last 10 years, incl. Washing machine and dishwasher. Pure relaxation on the edge of the Hohe Tauern National Park. Dogs are allowed but must be registered & booked beforehand. Dogs should be on the lower floor and kept away from beds and couch. Guest access The entire house is available for our guests. We live 100 meters below in the main house. Insights into life on an organic mountain farm with a focus on sheep farming, self-sufficiency, wool processing (felting), herd protection and a small farm cheese dairy. Bauer is a biologist and offers guided hikes in the Hohe Tauern National Park. Christmas and New Year's Eve can only be booked via direct inquiries. Other things to note Non-smoking house and absolute fireworks ban, even on New Year's Eve. In winter, the driveway is cleared in the event of snowfall, but it is mandatory to bring snow chains. If you are interested in longer stays (discounts), please contact us. A photovoltaic system secures electrical power even in the event of public grid failures. The house has a dishwasher and its own washing machine. You are on vacation in a rustic old wooden house, which is heated with wood stoves, please be especially careful with fire. Dogs are allowed, cats are not.
