Just 30 minutes away, you can discover Amiens, its Notre-Dame Cathedral, and its neighborhoods, notably Saint-Leu, and take a boat trip through the heart of the Hortillonnages (the Hortillonnages d'Amiens will undoubtedly be part of your itinerary!). A beautiful, quiet place where passionate guides will reveal the secrets of these waterfront gardens. Explore the shops on Rue des 3 Cailloux, and, if you have a sweet tooth, try the famous Amiens macarons. 🕵🏼 For lovers of flea markets and small antique treasures renovated to modern tastes: go for a walk at Atelier 27, at Jean-Michel's, in Doullens! Drinking a little coffee or a little beer at the end of the day is always a treat! Arras is 25 minutes away; you can explore its squares, its belfry, its citadel, its ramparts, the Carrière Wellington, the Boves, the Musée des Beaux-Arts, and the Cité Nature. Before leaving, you can take a short detour to taste the specialty "Rats d 'Arras", a small praline covered in dark chocolate. The market in the squares of Arras is Saturday morning and worth a visit! Closer, Doullens market, Thursday morning! ​ Mont Saint-Éloi is 20 minutes away; there, you can explore the remains of a 10th-century abbey. Albert and its surroundings (25 minutes away): the Poppy Country, museums dedicated to the 1914–1918 war, museums dedicated to the Battle of the Somme in 1916, the Boisselle Island, the Newfoundland Memorial at Beaumont-Hamel, the Franco-British Memorial at Thiepval, and also numerous historical sites around Albert. There are also English cemeteries around the house. ​ Vimy is just 30 minutes away, and you can visit it. It is home to the Canada National Vimy Memorial, the Living 14-18 Museum, and Notre-Dame de Lorette and its Ring.
