No 3 Lingdale, North Yorks Moors, sleeps 6-8

Extended terraced house with 4 bedrooms, attached to the village pub but untroubled by noise. Ultra high ceilings, original fireplaces in the living room & bedroom with an old range in the kitchen. Decorated with pieces from my travels. Yard with barbeque & seating. Pet friendly - please let us know if you are bringing fur babies! The space No 3 is a non-traditional terraced house, attached to the public house next door. It is right on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, with a distant view of the sea, which is 6 miles away at Redcar, Marske, Saltburn. Staithes & Whitby are within 20 miles. Ground Floor: Living Room, 2 settees, 2 chairs, TV, fireplace, books , games & toys. Kitchen, fully equipped with gas hob, electric fan oven, microwave, slow cooker, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble drier, kettle, toaster, air fryer and coffee machine. Dining table & 8 chairs. Old range cooker and traditional ceiling-hanging clothes drying rack. Access to enclosed yard/garden with table, bench seating and barbeque. There is a large bedroom with a double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside tables with lamps and a reading space. The smaller second bedroom has twin beds and drawers. The bathroom has a bath with electric shower over, wall heater and fan, sink and toilet. The living room has a new TV, two two seat sofas and 2 chairs. There are various books on the shelves, please feel free to read and swap any novels but don't take any reference books e.g. dictionaries, cook books away. The kitchen has a fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, electric fan oven and gas hob. As this is our house, it is fully equipped with extras like a mixer, juicer etc. It is fully equipped with cookware, cutlery and crockery. There is a dining table and 6 chairs. Cushions for the outside chairs and barbeque tools are on the shelving next to the fridge/freezer. We provide all towels and bed linen, tea towels and oven gloves, washing up liquid etc. Basic food supplies of tea, coffee, salt, pepper, herbs spices and cooking oil are in the cupboards. We provide fresh milk for your first cuppa. There is a supply of pasta and cooking sauce in case you arrive hungry late at night. Please replace this for future guests if you use it. :) Guest access Ground floor: Hallway. Living room with bright and cheerful seating for 8, side tables, lamps. TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime. Fully equipped kitchen with table seating 6. (There is an additional table for 2 in the living room.) Access to a small safely enclosed yard outside with a built in barbeque and seating. Up a very steep staircase to the first floor: Bedroom 1) Double bed. Additional trundle bed/day bed which converts to two single beds. Please let us know if you want to use the trundle bed and we will put the linen and duvets/pillows out for you. Wardrobe, drawers, bedside tables and lamps, chair. Bedroom 2) Single bed. Bedside table, lamp, additional small table, storage boxes for clothes etc. Bathroom 1) with full size bath, power shower over, sink, toilet, mirrored cabinet. Up a slightly uneven staircase (it's an old house!) to second floor landing with designer heater, lamp. Bedroom 3) Kingsize bed. Open plan wardrobe and shelves. Bedside tables with lamps. TV. Rocking chair. Bedroom 4) Single bed. Open plan wardrobe and shelves. Bedside table with lamp. TV. Bathroom 2) with walk-in shower and toilet. Stairgate, baby bath, changing mat, high chair and travel cot available on request, although I wouldn't want to carry an infant up the very steep staircase.... There are locked cupboards in the kitchen and bedrooms with laundry and domestic supplies in them and a locked store in the yard for DIY gear. There are fireplaces in the living room and bedroom 1) and an old range in the kitchen, but we ask you not to light fires in them as the flues have just been relined and we don't want you to have any problems with fumes. I try to leave basic food in the cupboards in case you arrive starving late at night, please replace anything you use up eg: soup/beans/pasta/sauce. Other things to note The staircase is very steep, and for this reason we don't recommend the house to families with babies or toddlers under two. There are two bannister rails and a stair gate on request for older toddler safety! The pub next door is very well sound-proofed so no noise problems at all!
