The Sunshine Room

Our home is near the University of Miami Campus and the Red Bird Shopping Center, for all your shopping needs. Perfect for UM visitors or those working at Children's Hospital. Driving distances: MIAMI AIRPORT: 6.5 miles (20 min) SOUTH BEACH: 15 miles (45 min) KEY BISCAYNE: 12 miles (30 min) DOWNTOWN: 8 miles (25 min) We are LBGTQ-Friendly. Hablamos español, On parle français, parliamo italiano. We live on the property. We also Airbnb another room (shared bathroom) Parking Space Available The space The bedroom is in the back of the house, beyond the kitchen and adjacent to the TV room. There is a queen sized bed, a dresser, and a desk in the room. The room can get warm, but there is a ceiling fan for your use. It has sliding glass doors to the outside and gets wonderful sunlight (hence the Sunshine Room) You will have access to the common spaces: kitchen, living room, back porch (which includes our vegetable garden), etc. and the TV in the back room. We have wifi and Netflix access available to you if you wish (just ask Alexa, the firestick). There isn't a private television in the bedroom. A free parking space is available in the driveway. We keep a clean house and ask that you please remove your shoes when you come into the house. We prefer at least 24 hour notice for reservations. Please complete your Airbnb profile, incomplete profiles may cause a delay in response time. Guest access Guests have access to all common areas. We ask that you clean up after yourself if you use common areas, especially the kitchen. All cleaning homemade products are labeled with their uses :) During your stay We are two in the house. I am a teacher and am gone for most of the day and then lesson planning most of the night (workaholic). My wife, Sandrine, works from home as a clinical researcher. We love to welcome guests and give our advice for things to do, but of course, if you prefer to do your own thing, our home is your home. We are available by phone or email. Aside from Sandrine, who works from home, we don't tend to be home too much. We're social, but if you just want your space, the room is private. I am a Miami native, so I can give you tourist tips if you'd like :) Other things to note We cannot host those that are here in Miami to receive surgery. Nor can we host those who will be expecting visitors. We recommend you reserve a "Entire Place" Airbnb if you expect to have visitors or are here in Miami for surgery. We keep a clean house and ask that you please remove your shoes when you come into the house. Sandrine, my wife, works from home, and does require that it be quiet during the day from 7:30am-4:30pm Monday-Friday as she might have telephone conferences. And for my sake as a teacher, I get to bed early, so please quiet hours in the evening and early morning from 8pm-6am Sunday-Friday. We like it quiet in the house...please consider your noise level for cooking and entering and exiting the house. This might not be the best Airbnb if you're a late night partier, on a night shift, or need to do a lot of cooking. Registration Details STR-28573
