Catoctin Mountain Village Room

1 night maximum allowed. Located in Catoctin Mountain village in 1902 Victorian home that also used to be our business Synergy Massage - Wellness Center and a private residence. Still renting 2 offices spaces which are closed whenever guests are here, so one has privacy on first floor Airbnb allowed space. Gettysburg & Antietam Battlefields, hiking, kayaking, skiing, biking, fishing are nearby. The famous AppalachianTrail is 1 mile away. The space You enter your bedroom & sitting area from the far left front door of of our building. You must park right outside your door next to the grass to allow room for the owners to access the back private parking area or park anywhere in the front parking lot which extends across the front of our property. DO NOT PARK in the grass or behind the house which is for owners only. There is a hospitality center, in the room next to your bedroom where a full size refrigerator, microwave, single portable burner & pans, coffee pot & fast water pot for making tea are located. Paper plates, utensils, cups, mugs and paper towels provided. You are allowed to use the 1/2 bath located in the small massage room through the door to the left of the refrigerator, which requires one to walk about 15 feet through the hospitality room. The handicap bathroom with a shower/seat, located down the front long hallway last door on the right requires about a 60 feet walk. Bathrobes are provided in your room to wear to walk to the bathrooms. The hydroponic garden tower in the hospitality room belongs to your hosts for their personal use only. The room has an outside access door with key lock box for late night entry. WiFi password is Nathan14. Wifi works in all areas of lobby, hospitality room & bedroom with strongest being in the Lobby, if having trouble getting out. We have Comcast Internet, with AT&T being strongest carrier here, followed by T-mobile. The room has an adjustable wall tv for one to enjoy videos provided in your room. Guest access Guests have their private bedroom with sitting area. They have use of the hospitality area that is an adjacent room, 2 half baths and one 3/4 bath. The remaining facility is either private residence or rooms rented by independent contractors for bodywork, private holistic classes or a professional weaver. The private massage room is not in use, however, when the AirBnB room is available for booking. During your stay We live in the third floor apartment and our children/ 2 grandchildren live on the second floor. The AirBnB room is on the first floor where bodywork & a weaver’s business are located. We can give you phone numbers of the licensed therapist if needed. Our AirBnB room is perfect for traveling guests who are interested in sleeping or who are coming to the area for a family function. There is no tv in the room , however, there is WiFi. Other things to note We have trains that pass through our community quite often, so the sounds of the trains can be anywhere from a haunting distance sound or loud when close. The tracks are 3 houses to the South and 5 houses to the north. Great for train lovers! An excellent train collector's store is nearby on Route 16.
