There are almost 2 miles of walking, hiking trails with a few open spaces including around the pond where most guests gravitate - especially those with dogs. The 1000 square foot carriage house was repainted in February 2025 and has large picture windows with views of the wooded property and the sun setting through the forest. The vaulted ceilings compliment the open floor plan. The kitchen is fully equipped with upgraded amenities. Each bedroom has a ceiling fan, nightstands, dressers & drawers, and a closet. The covered porch is wonderful for a morning Keurig coffee, afternoon snack or dinner at the table which seats six. New sitting area with fire pit located right outside the carriage house and for guests. According to Emily, "You will love your stay in the cottage! It is a beautiful setting, surrounded by woods and trails.” Guests have access to the wooded trails on the property. We hope guests take advantage of the hiking trails and paths that traverse through the woods and total about two miles. The undulating hills and changing terrain offer a bit of serenity. It's great for walking the dog! There is a washer & dryer for guests in the apartment. Guest access There is ample parking space (4-5 vehicles) in front of the carriage house. There are stairs (2nd floor living space) inside. There is a garage/shop on ground level that is OFF access to guests. It will remain locked unless Mike is working on another wood project or landscaping. The living space is on the second floor and has a private entrance and different lock system. Mountain Creek Road is a private road/driveway shared by other homeowners. Please respect their privacy and stay within the 32 acre lot that is available to you and that you are encouraged to traverse. Other things to note Bedroom One has new bedding (mattress and sheets) as of February 2025. Bedroom Two has 3 beds; the two twins have Casper mattresses and there is a trundle bed as well. No need to bring linens as we have you covered. There is an outdoor grill for small fires. We have the charcoal for you as well. We ask that dog owners leash their pet while outside (if they haven't met Mike, Alicia or Bailey yet). We have 2 cats pets; Yota and Tom are young friendly outdoor cats. There are chickens that free range on the property at times. We can provide a crate (large size dog) if you need one while out and about as well as food & water bowls, leashes and other items. The house has a washer and dryer in the ‘mud room'. You can do laundry if you wish (free). There is an outdoor covered shower (not running during winter though).
