Water's Edge is spectacularly located in the picturesque fishing harbour village of Craster with direct access to the stunning Northumberland heritage coastline. A beachfront property with amazing sea views from the cottage & garden. The house comfortably sleeps 8 in 4 bedrooms. A characterful cottage set in its own grounds spanning 2 floors, offering spacious, stylish accommodation to guests wanting to experience everything Northumberland has to offer, a superb base to relax & explore. Exclusive use of this detached seaside cottage with stunning views over the North Sea. -Child friendly with high chairs, travel cots & bedding (available on request), stair gates, large enclosed garden with sunken patio area. -Private setting with off road parking for at least three cars. -Broadband wifi throughout the cottage. -Pets-Well behaved dogs are allowed with prior arrangement for a small surcharge (see our house rules). This is to be paid in cash before the end of your stay as Airbnb do not currently allow this as an add on option. -Dolphins, seals & even a basking shark have been spotted from the comfort of Water's Edge! -We were featured on TV in 2018 on Channel 4’s ‘Celebrity Hunted’ programme. -Northumberland was voted the best UK holiday county in the 2018 British Travel Awards. -Upon arrival at Water's Edge, our guests receive a welcome pack as well as complimentary tea, coffee, Nespresso coffee pods, hot chocolate, biscuits & milk to get their stay underway. Bed linen, towels & tea towels are also provided. Rooms & Facilities -The ground floor accommodation includes a living room with fantastic views out to sea with a wood burner effect stove & comfortable seating for all guests. The space also includes a Smart TV & DVD player, a work desk, & library of books. Large full length bi-fold doors open out on to a balustrated veranda overlooking the garden/patio area. Several board games are also provided. At Christmas this room is decorated for our guests. -The open plan kitchen has every piece of equipment necessary to cater for numerous guests & includes an American style fridge/freezer, dishwasher, range cooker/stove, toaster, microwave, Nespresso machine & first aid kit. -The dining area has a table which can seat 8, this room also a seafront view with full length bi-fold doors. -Also downstairs is a large games rooms with pool table & a utility space with washing machine, separate tumbler dryer, iron, ironing board & heated clothes dryer. -There is also a downstairs toilet. A flight of stairs to the first floor, which includes -The large main bedroom with king size bed has stunning views over the North Sea from it's double spaced Juliette balcony & has an en suite shower room with wc. There is plenty of wardrobe space too with dressing table & mirror. -The family bathroom includes a bath, overhead shower, toilet & basin with views over the coastline. -The second double bedroom also has an en suite shower room, with wardrobe space, dressing table & mirror. -The third bedroom contains a double bed, hanging rail, dressing table & mirror & also has a great view out over the coastline. -The fourth bedroom has two single beds, with wardrobe space, dressing table & mirror. -Sleeps 8. -Each bedroom is provided with a hair dryer & beach towels. -The grounds at Water's Edge are entirely self contained & include a garden, enclosed sunken patio area with garden furniture as well as patio space straight from the rear of the cottage. A BBQ is also provided. -The main attraction is being right in the middle of the lovely, picturesque fishing harbour village of Craster whilst the nearest town is historic Alnwick which is 6 miles away. -The fantastic gastro pub The Jolly Fisherman is a very short walk from Water's Edge, so much so we call it our 'en-suite pub'! There is an art gallery/gift shop (literally on our doorstep), cafe, excellent fish restaurant, kipper smokehouse & a children's playground all within close proximity to the cottage. -Excellent walking, trekking, golf, fishing & cycling are all within easy reach of Water's Edge. -Please read our extensive recommendations section for further guidance. Guest access -Guests have full & sole access to Water's Edge cottage. -There is sufficient off road private parking spaces for three vehicles at Water's Edge. -Any other vehicles would have to park in the public car park on the outskirts of the village, as the village only allows for residents parking. Other things to note -Check out is 10 am on the day of your departure so we can get Water's Edge all shipshape for our next guests. -There is very little mobile phone signal in Craster, however our broandband/WiFi at Water's Edge allows you to make internet based calls. -If you are arranging a supermarket delivery our full address is Water's Edge, Haven Hill, Craster, NE66 3TR.
