Opened in January 2020, the Gate Lodge is a charming octagon with plenty of original character. Warm and well-equipped, it has been completely renovated and sits within the grounds of a working conservation farm. Strictly No Smoking. Only a ten minute walk from Loch Bay Restaurant, the Stein Inn, Skyeskyns and Diver's Eye, the lodge is surrounded by nature and wildlife with stunning views. It offers the perfect, peaceful break. The Gate Lodge is the perfect place for couples to unwind and enjoy the peace of the Highlands. The Lodge has underfloor heating and a wood burning stove to keep guests warm during the winter months. The supremely comfortable Super King size bed is fitted with White Company cotton sheets and the generous bathroom offers a large walk-in shower, a bath, basin and toilet. The kitchen/dining/living area is in the original octagonal part of the Gate Lodge. Guests will have access to certain areas of the farm which specializes in conservation and grassland management. Our Aberdeen Angus herd play an essential part in keeping the wildflower pastures in good condition and the Farm is lucky enough to be visited by corncrakes in the summer months. Waternish is famous for its spectacular sunsets, stunning views and friendliness. Other things to note Regrettably, the Gate Lodge does NOT accept children or dogs.
