Stretton is 7 miles from Rutland Water, 8 miles from Oakham and 9 miles from Stamford and Burghley. Next door is the Jackson Stops Inn, which unfortunately has closed recently. The space Stretton is set in beautiful Rutland countryside, close to the A1 and a few hundred yards from George Henry Wood specially planted for the residents of Stretton to enjoy. Although the Jackson Stop Country Inn has recently closed, Brightside restaurant and Wendys drive through fast food are within easy walking distance. Nearby is Stretton fishing lakes and The Olive Branch in the nearby village of Clipsham which is renowned for its cuisine. Golf at the nearby Greetham Valley golf course. We are just 15 minutes away from Rutland water, with its walking, cycling, fly fishing, sailing, windsurfing and many other activities for adults and children.
