Description
The Artist's Retreat is a true get away - if you want peace, quiet & stunning views this is for you. In beautiful Nidderdale, right on the Nidderdale Way and the Way of the Roses, with Brimham Rocks within sight. Ideal as a walking/cycling base, or just for a quiet stay away from it all. With eye catching views of the large garden and surrounding countryside, inside is cosy with a wood burning stove in the sitting room, and the bedroom tucked into the upper body of the cottage. The space A cosy converted barn, with its inevitable quirks and charms. Downstairs is a cosy sitting room with wood burning stove and views of the gardens. There is also a single sofa bed for a third guest. Alongside is an open plan kitchen which leads on to a shower room. Up the steep stairs is the bedroom with double or twin beds and more views across the garden and countryside - all with the quiet murmur of the stream in the background . The cottage is furnished but uncluttered, and comes with all bedding and towels as well as a supply of logs for the wood burner, with more available to buy. The large garden is yours to enjoy though we may be in there looking after it from time to time! Parking for 1 car and there is a lockable shed for bikes. 1 dog is allowed by pre arrangement (£10 per night). Guest access Whole of cottage and garden for guests, though we may be working in the garden at times. Other things to note Cottage is meant as quiet getaway, with a large garden with plenty of different seating areas in the spring summer, and a cosy woodburner in the winter. You can do plenty of walks of cycles from the door without going anywhere, whilst there is a range of pubs/cafes within a short drive and Pateley has most things food/drink you should need. In this spirit there is wi-fi and digital radio but no TV!
