Perfect cycling, walking and star gazing base

Tucked into the heart of an area of outstanding natural beauty, Fircones is a cosy, purpose built holiday cottage which looks out over beautiful farmland towards Hoy Monument. Short drive to some of the islands wonderful beaches. With a comfortable master bedroom with a double bed and twin beds in the second bedroom, Fircones is ideal for families, cyclists, walkers and anyone who enjoys escaping to the country. Short drive to Ventnor, Freshwater and Newport. The space Fircones is situated on the south side of the Island surrounded by countryside walks in all directions. Join the Chale Trail from here which takes you on a six mile walk around the parish of Chale taking in downland and cliff tops. Why not take a break about half way round at The White Mouse Inn for refreshments and maybe lunch. A short drive will take you into Ventnor with its shops and eateries by the sea. There is a Country Market on Saturday mornings selling local produce and crafts. It is also an ideal spot for exploring the Island on a bike both on the roads and cycle tracks. There is also the opportunity for a bit of star gazing (weather permitting) with the low light pollution policy of the area. Guest access Fircones is solely for guests use and is accessed via a large parking area to a front outside door (access 570 mm wide) then door to accommodation. There is a fully fenced patio area for the property with outside seating to enjoy the unrivalled views of the surrounding countryside. Other things to note At Fircones there is ample parking and secure storage for bikes. There is a travel cot and high chair available if required. We also make available use of washing machine and tumble dryer. Please just ask.
