Other things to note La Chaumière is conveniently located an hour's drive from Caen and St Malo ferry terminals and an hour's drive from Dinard Airport. The D-Day beaches are easily accessible, as are Mont St Michel and the beautiful beaches of the Cotenin Peninsula and the Normandy Coast. The nearest town, Sourdeval, is a 5-minute drive away and has all the necessary amenities, including a supermarket, pharmacy, cafes, restaurants and shops. On Tuesday mornings, the city has a lively market where you can enjoy fresh produce and local delicacies. If you want to go a little further, Vire is a beautiful medieval town located 15 minutes away by car, with many shops, cafes and restaurants offering typical Norman cuisine and much more.
