Godwick Shepherd's Hut - The Herdwick Hideaway

Schlamping is the new glamping at Godwick. We have 3 Shepherd Huts tucked into a small glade behind Godwick Hall, each boasting unspoilt views. Close to nature, rustic but with modern ensuite facilities, these are cute and super cool. This is our only dog friendly hut for small and medium sized pooches, but there is an extra £10 charge for additional cleaning and you must bring your own dog basket and ensure they don't escape and worry the sheep or jump on the beds!! The space Perfectly constructed our three huts come with some fabulous mod cons and have lovely design features, such as oak wooden floors, butler sinks and a narrow boat wood burners. Hot running water, a mini fridge, microwave, oak work top, loo, shower and of course a lovely double bed. As well as a comfortable night’s sleep, guests in each hut can order a Continental breakfast can be ordered as an extra to be delivered to the hut or with prior arrangement a cooked breakfast can be served at Godwick Hall. The huts, for a hygiene and health and safety reasons are not designed for cooking, so please do not expect full cooking facilities apart from a microwave. Guest access Cars have access down a farm track to the back of each hut where there's ample parking. It's not manicured land so bring sturdy footwear, particularly if it’s wet weather. The outdoor swimming pool at Godwick Hall may be available for use by prior agreement with the management. Please ask at Godwick Hall if you would like to use the pool. The site of the deserted medieval village of Godwick is open to the public, so feel free to roam up there, just be careful of farm traffic. Other things to note Weekend weddings at Godwick Great Barn could mean there's a wedding party on a Saturday night, which possibly might be heard at Godwick Hall, but the barn is some distance away from the Hall. It also might mean there's limited accommodation available on Saturday nights. Breakfast is not included but can be arranged and delivered to your hut. If you want a big cooked breakfast then this available in the luxurious Godwick Hall. The kitchenette is small and basic, including only a microwave and a fridge and sink. The huts, for hygiene and health and safety reasons are not designed for cooking, so please do not expect cooking facilities apart from a microwave. If you're staying in the Herdwick Hideaway and have a dog with you, please remember this is a working farm, so we would ask that dogs are kept on a lead when they are outside the hut or on walks around the farm and local area.
