Old Town Hall Cottage - 4 Star Gold Award winning

Old Town Hall Cottage is a picturesque early 17th century two bedroomed cosy country cottage. The cottage provides modern amenities but still has many original features including original oak beams, open fireplace & mullioned windows. It is comfortably furnished and well equipped to accommodate 4 people. Fantastic location in the village of Old Town and yet only 1 mile from Hebden Bridge. The cottage is rated 4* by Visit Britain with their Gold Award for high standards of accommodation. The space The cottage has undergone a major renovation project in early 2021 which provided, new kitchen units & appliances, new bathroom suite including luxury walk in shower & underfloor heating, new central heating system, full rewiring including hard wired smoke, heat & carbon dioxide alarms. It was fully redecorated & new carpets fitted along with some new furniture & fittings. Facilities available include, free high speed Wi-Fi, Bluetooth CD microsystem, flat screen smart TV with DVD player. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric oven, gas hob, large fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, kettle, toaster & Nespresso coffee maker & has a breakfast table & chairs. The cottage has full gas central heating and also a Hunter gas stove in the living room fireplace. Prices include quality cotton bed linen & towels, all heating and lighting, welcome food pack, fresh fruit, flowers & complimentary toiletries. One well behaved dog is welcome by prior arrangement & is included in the basic hire charge but additional dogs must be requested & agreed by property owner & will be charged at £10 per night, house rules are that they are not to be allowed on furniture or upstairs as we need to maintain our high standards of furnishings. Other pets strictly only by prior agreement with property owner. Guest access There is private parking directly outside the cottage & also a patio area surrounded by mature shrubs with a table & 4 chairs for relaxing on those lovely sunny days. There are 2 small steps down from the parking area to the front door so please be aware of this when parking your car. Other things to note The cottage is an ideal base for exploring the local area, the village of Old Town has lots to enjoy without having to go far from the cottage. It has it's own village post office with an attached cafe where you can have a lovely relaxing coffee and cake or lunch, it even has outdoor seating for those lovely summer days. Or why not pamper yourself with a visit to The Paddock Wellness Centre where you can enjoy some "me time" using their sauna and cold plunge pool just a 5 minute stroll from the cottage. There are fantastic countryside walks to be enjoyed straight from the cottage too. Many of our guests arrive by car but do not move their car until they leave to go home. The walk down into Hebden Bridge is very picturesque, however it is uphill on the way back but not to worry as we have a great bus service to and from Hebden Bridge so you can always jump on the bus to come back or taxis are only about £5. An added bonus is that we're also very close to the Yorkshire Dales, it's merely a 40 minute drive to Skipton and all the lovely surrounding villages. We are midway between the cities of Leeds and Manchester too and the train service to both is excellent so whether you fancy a relaxing walk in the country or a spot of shopping in the city our cottage is superbly located.
