The world at home - Schöneck wooden house

We are a small family who travel the world a lot but also like to host other people. We are excited for you to feel at home in our cozy wooden house with a fireplace, corner bathtub and a lot of love for detail. The house is about 86 square meters and is at your disposal for the duration of the stay, including the 800 square meter property. The space The heart of the house is a large room on the first floor with a fully equipped kitchenette, dining area and sofa area with a cozy fireplace in the middle. Upstairs you will find a spacious bedroom with two beds (1.80 m and 1.40 m wide) and another bedroom with two single beds as well as the bathroom with corner bathtub. In total, we can accommodate 6 people. The ski slope is less than 500 meters away. From the ski slope above, you have a beautiful view down into the valley. Heating: Please note that there is no central heating. The wooden house is essentially heated via the fireplace. In the morning you can heat the fireplace so that it stays comfortably warm throughout the day and in the evening you can sit in front of the crackling fireplace with a glass of red wine. We light the fireplace twice in winter before you arrive. Nevertheless, it takes several hours for the house to warm up completely and so it may take some time after your arrival until you can take off the extra pair of socks and the warm Norwegian sweater. ;-) The two bedrooms are not heated. That means in winter the bedrooms are really really cold. However, we have warm blankets and additional cuddly blankets as well as hot water bottles to make it nice and warm under the duvet. In addition to the warming fireplace, electric radiators are available in the bathroom and living room (kitchen, living room) if necessary. We want to conserve resources and therefore ask you to use the electric heaters only when necessary. They heat the room (especially in the bathroom) in a short time, so "preheating" or "permanent heating" is not necessary. Please pay special attention to small children so that they do not get too close to the heaters. They can get very hot. The heating may only be used under supervision! Please be sure to turn it off when you leave the house! We thank you for your responsible handling! It is more comfortable to heat the house via the fireplace anyway. We'll be happy to show you how if you don't have any experience heating with a fireplace. Shoveling snow: Yes, you read that right: shoveling, shoveling, pushing snow… If you arrive in winter, you come to us and of course hope for lots of snow. We have that sometimes, too. Therefore, it may be necessary for you to clear the way from the house to the car or to the firewood. Of course, we will try to support you and will make sure that you can arrive undisturbed, especially when you arrive. Nevertheless, our wooden house does not offer 24-hour full service. That's why you may have to lend a hand yourself. Equipment: Of course, you can use our 2 children's bikes as well as the sleds. Everything is ready! If you are traveling with small children, please contact us. We may be able to help with a children's travel bed or highchair. A small sandbox can be found in the garden. We also have a grill on site. Charcoal may need to be organized by yourself. Celebrations: If you are looking for a place to stay for a party, bachelor party or a friends meeting with lots of alcohol, then please book another vacation home! We don't want to be spoilsports, but we have decorated our house with a lot of love and would like to rent it only to guests who can handle it with care. Other things to note Schöneck is a health resort. The city charges a tourist tax per night of 2.00 euros per adult (15 years and above) and 0.60 euros per child (6 years and above). You simply pay us in cash upon arrival and we will take care of your registration. For the tourist tax, you will receive a guest card with discounts in the surrounding area.
