Magnolia Cottage, Porlock

Magnolia Cottage is a charming 19th-century property on the edge of Porlock within Exmoor National Park, set in an idyllic spot beside a running stream in the Hawkcombe valley and reached via a private footbridge. It sleeps up to 4 guests across two bedrooms, one double and one twin, with a single bathroom comprising a bath with shower over, toilet and hand basin. The space The front door opens into a small hall for hanging coats, leading to a cosy sitting room with comfortable sofa and chairs and a wood-burning stove, perfect for evenings in. A basket of logs is provided. The adjacent kitchen-diner, up one step, is fitted with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer, plus kettle and toaster. There is a Smart TV in the sitting room, a selection of board games and DVDs, and wireless broadband throughout. Two stair gates are provided, making the cottage practical for families. Bed linen and towels are included, along with a welcome pack on arrival. Outside, a private footbridge crosses the stream from the parking area to the cottage. Guests have sole use of a grassed garden area and a patio with garden furniture and a barbecue, though these areas are not enclosed. Free, unallocated roadside parking is available nearby, just by the footbridge. The cottage has central heating throughout, with electricity and heating costs included in the price, and is double glazed. Wifi is also included. Please note the property is not suitable for guests with restricted mobility or wheelchair users. Dogs are not permitted and smoking is strictly prohibited. Check-in is from 4pm and check-out by 10am. Week-long bookings typically run from Saturdays, though short breaks may be available depending on the calendar.
