Gorgeous Timber Framed Building

Lowood is perfectly situated in East Hendred - a picture postcard village at the foot of the downs. There are two fabulous pubs. A wonderful shop and amazing walks in every direction. Wedding venues - Barton House, Lains barn and Ardington House are 5 minutes by car. Harwell campus, Milton trading estate, Williams F1 engineering and Didcot Parkway Station ( London 41minutes) are also close by. The space It is one very large timber framed building with underfloor heating so there is an ambient warmth … there is a lovely spacious shower also with underfloor heating - The sofa has gorgeous soft feather cushions and the bed crisp white linen. Guests have use of the area around the barn at the front of our house... perfect for sipping a glass of champagne as the sun sets on the barn .... it really is a beautiful time of the day on a warm summer evening as the sun sets.... Guest access Access is through lowood gate which is electric and has a code after 10pm … the little barn is away from our house and there is parking for a couple of cars just outside. There is a bench to enjoy a morning coffee and further around there is a lovely area with trees and a table and chairs which guests are welcome to use. It’s a lovely place to sit. The accommodation is far enough away from the house to feel guests have privacy. Other things to note The kitchen area is a great space with a solid oak island wuth bar stools and with cupboards under with glasses and crockery … there is an oven but not a hob - so not for full on cooking! I leave a couple of bottles of beer in the fridge for when guests arrive ..... There is a microwave, kettle, toaster and a nespresso coffee machine with capsules ... Instant coffee various tea bags, milk etc. There are pain au chocolate or similar for breakfast and a large refillable bottle of tap water...also please ask me if you have forgotten something - I will help if I can! We also have a lovely village shop where most things can be found… and of course two pubs!
