This composite-built pod is crafted to a high standard from recycled plastic bottles. It features a double bed, cosy chairs and a well-equipped kitchenette. The space We are a small glamping site featuring a cottage and three pods. Our location serves as an ideal base for exploring the wild, unspoilt coast of beautiful Northwest Sutherland. We are just minutes away from the start of the scenic walk to Sandwood Bay, one of Scotland's most remote and stunning beaches. Our site offers excellent WiFi and strong phone signal for EE users (though reception for O2 and Vodafone may be limited). This welcoming and bright space includes: - A small kitchenette equipped with an air fryer, two-ring hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, and fridge/freezer. - A comfy double bed - A breakfast table and chairs that doubles as a great workspace. - WiFi and underfloor heating. - An outside deck with grass furniture, perfect for al fresco dining and drinks. The area is an outdoor enthusiast's paradise, offering a short walk to Oldshoremore Beach and a rich historical backdrop. Nearby activities include challenging rock climbing at Sheigra, the renowned walk to Sandwood Bay, endless sea kayaking opportunities, visits to the Handa Island Nature Reserve, and exploring the untamed Northwest coast up to Cape Wrath—all right at our doorstep. Please note that our site is not suitable for children. Additionally, due to the allergies of some of our guests, we regret that we cannot accommodate pets. Arriving Upon arrival, enter through the first gate and we will greet you. If you happen to arrive without us noticing, just ring the doorbell of the craft shop and we will be right out! Guest access Please remember the Highlands is not the city, it is a place of tranquillity where you can hear yourself breathe and also a neighbour’s conversation half a mile away, this is not the place for you if you want Uber and deliveries :). It is very much the antidote to modern hectic life. Other things to note Check in is between 4-6pm, but we may be able to give access up to 10pm but cannot always guarantee late check in time.
