Tartaruga Island is a one acre islet situated in the dammed Chança River that forms in Southern Alentejo the border to Spain. The space The landscape is dominated by evergreen oak trees. Other things to note Depending on the water level Tartaruga is an island or a peninsula. In the first case the shore is in a distance from about a kilometer. "Ferry service" and boat rentals needs to be talked about. In the second case Tartaruga can be reached by foot.
