Vicarage Farm House - a rural retreat

Vicarage Farm is a unique rural retreat for families and friends. Nestled in a tiny hamlet outside the idyllic village of Coddenham, Vicarage Farm benefits from the peace and tranquillity of a rural location whilst also enjoying access to village amenities. Facilities such as the award winning village shop, hard surface tennis courts and well equipped children’s playground and playing fields are only a short stroll away on well signed footpaths over open fields. Don’t forget your wellies! The space The historic farm house has been recently refurbished to a highest standard, but still enjoys some character features such as a beautifully beamed formal dining room, two wood burners and a fabulous family kitchen/snug. There are four beautifully decorated double/king bedrooms with extra mattresses/cots for children, and three modern bathrooms. The house comfortably sleeps eight adults, with a maximum three extra children and two infants in cots. In the Kitchen we've recently added a new Nespresso machine with milk frother for those coffee enthusiasts. Outside areas extend to 2 acres of paddocks and garden. There is a Landmann smoking bbq and an outside table seating 10. Now Christmas 2023 Ready - with tree and decorations throughout! The house is also home to our two friendly cats, Flash and Choppy. They are taken care of by our house keeper, have a cat flap to come and go, are great with children and beyond the odd stroke, won't be any bother! But if you are allergic to cats, then this property might not be for you. We also regret for this reason we can't accept any guests with dogs. Finally, please be aware there is a steep spiral staircase in our home, so it is not suitable for those unsure on their feet such as the elderly. In the kitchen and family bathroom, there are small steps as it's an old farmhouse with it's quirks and charm! Guest access You will have access to the whole house and garden. Please note that the garden isn't fenced. Also you will share the house with two adorable cats. The cats are happy to share their space with a dog if the dog can be trusted to be sensible around cats. (Our cleaner will come every other day to feed and tend to them) Other things to note Unfortunately we cannot accept any stag or hen parties. We have two adorable cats (Choppy and Flash) in residence. They will be fed and tended to by our house keeper who comes in three times a week. Polite cat friendly dogs are more than welcome.
