Beaumont’s Hideaway at Peake’s Retreats

Just outside of the quiet village of Anslow is Peake's Retreats luxury yurt 'glampsite'. 12 miles from the beautiful Peak District, our 3 six metre yurts are fully furnished sleeping up to 6 guests each. With wood burning stove, private hot tubs, Finnish BBQ hut, cooking cabin and luxury shower and toilets, our yurts are fully insulated ideal for year round use. Whether a couple after a romantic weekend away, or a family looking for some quality time, we even cater for most group bookings The space PLEASE BE AWARE OUR CHILDRENS PLAY AREA IS CURRENTLY CLOSED AS WE PREPARE TO REPLACE IT. Beaumont’s Hideaway has 1 x super king size bed with the option of 2 extra single beds and 1 double sofa bed. All beds are 'real' beds and not air beds, to give you the feel of a hotel despite the fact that you are actually camping. Our yurts are all ‘off grid’ with NO electricity to the yurt itself. The yurts get really cosy with the woodburner lit. As the woodburner is the only source of heat to the yurt, being confident lighting and maintaining a fire is essential, especially in colder months. To ensure we offering the best possible value to our guests we have recently restructured our pricing so that you only pay for the facilities you use. Whilst our private hot tubs are available to all guests the use of them is no longer included in the nightly rate, so you only pay for the nights you use them, or not at all if you do not require a hot tubs. Logs are no longer included to give you the option to purchase from us or bring your own. Please read on for more details. Your stay includes all bedding, linen and towels. The yurt will be cleaned and made up for your arrival. All plates, mugs, glasses, cutlery etc is provided in the cupboard in your yurt. You will have use of our communal cooking cabin where you can find your private fridge (no freezer) as well as lots of cooking utensils, pots and pans and our large electric range cooker. Alternatively you can cook in your yurt on the wood burning stove, in our communal BBQ hut, which seats 21 people, or on the firepit outside of your yurt. We also have a kadai fire bowl for you to use, perfect for BBQ-ing on your yurt decking. Your private luxury bathroom is a short walk from the yurt, and comes with beautiful Neals Yard toiletries for you to use during your stay. Our cooking cabin and bathrooms do have electricity and small charging lockers can be found in the cooking cabin. Beaumont’s Hideaway has its own private woodburning hot tub available. Use of this hot tub is charged at £50 per night. This includes us filling the hot tub for you and providing 1 x crate of logs per night of your stay for heating the hot tub. Logs for heating the yurt are charged at £30 per crate and kindling and firelighters at £6 a bucket. Alternatively You may bring your own kiln dried logs to use. Hot tub hours are 7am-11pm with quiet hours beginning at 10pm. Dogs are permitted and are charged at £30 per stay for up to 3 dogs. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times onsite for the comfort of other guests, we don’t mind the use of long leads. Guest access Our site also boasts a large Finnish BBQ hut which seats 24, perfect for cooking all year round, or just for catching up with friends and relaxing around the fire. Our onsite cooking cabin contains a private fridge for each yurt, as well as food prepping space and a large electric range oven. Luxury shower and toilet facilities feature Neals Yard Remedies Organic shampoos and shower gels for you to use during your stay, and have been described by our guests as being 'better than a 5* hotel'. Each yurt has it’s own dedicated bathroom which is only accessible by the guests of that yurt. You will find the key to your bathroom on your yurt key ring. Other things to note All bedding, towels etc are included. Any damaged towels at the end of a stay will be charged for. There is no power to the yurts however we have charging lockers in the bathroom area suitable for phones and small tablets. Power can also be found in the cooking cabin (not secure). There is a torch provided in each charging lockers, you may wish to bring more. Other lighting is in the form of candles and battery operated lights. Not all beds are set up for every booking to increase the amount of space in the yurt. Many of our beds are kept in storage until needed.
