The space This is a wonderful place to get away from a busy life. The house is a century old, but newly renovated in parts with a cast iron fireplace. It’s our family summer house and we spend most holidays here. Comprises two floors about 100m2. The downstairs Front door opens into a large eat-in kitchen, with view of the sea. a large living room with fireplace, Two sets of sofas and Large Flatscreen-TV, again with great views (semi open-plan with kitchen) with back door opening onto yard, wooden deck and a newly built patio. Bathroom centrally located. Small utility space with the washing machine/ storage just by main entrance and an extra WC. Stairs to upper floor located centrally, featuring three bedrooms and a hall area( with spare futon-sofa/bed) leading out onto a balcony facing south. The Master bedroom, contains a double bed, desk and sofa chair. The second and third bedrooms face west and are very well lit, each containing a double bed and one has an extra pull out proper double bed( sleeping 4 total/ 6 if needed). Outside there is a small guesthouse, with a bunk and double bed( for up to 4 emergency guests) and a tool shed. The yard surrounds the house and is about 800m2. On the south side facing the sea are three large(~50m2, 25m2and 15m2) wooden decks with great views, perfect for outside meals or just relaxing or sunbathing. The lower deck and wall especially heats up quickly as soon as the sun starts shining, and offers an unusually warm experience. There is a gas-fired barbeque outside the kitchen window on the stone patio. Guest access Full access to house Enjoy full access to our spacious house, perfect for families and groups. We have plenty of activities for all ages, including a trampoline, swings, bicycles, and outdoor toys. Nearby amenities The hotel next door has a pool, which is open to the public for a fee. We can also provide mobile internet access upon request. Things to do in the area Österlen is a beautiful region with something to offer everyone. For those who enjoy being active, there are plenty of opportunities for walking, running, cycling, para- and hang-gliding. There is also a nature reserve nearby and a naturist beach halfway to Sandhammaren. Beaches The closest beach is just a short walk down the hill, and fishing is also very popular. Swedens longest and finest beach, Sandhammaren, is only 6km away, with a beautiful trail that takes you all the way there, walking, cycling or running. Location Österlen is located in the southeastern tip of Sweden. The closest bigger town is Ystad (20km) and it takes a little under an hour to get here from Malmö (65km). Other things to note Please note that linen and towels are provided if you wish and that the house should be left in same condition as when you arrived. The cleaning fee does not cover full clean of a messy / dirty house so please help us leave it as you found it.
