Monemvasia-Plitra House, close to amazing beaches

The house has the most amazing view of Plytra Bay. Plytra besides having one of the most beautiful sandy beaches, is a very convenient midpoint for one day excursions to Elafonisos, Monemvasia, Kithyra, Diros Caves, Gythion, Sparta, Mani and other attractions of Lakonia. The house is located on the NE of the bay on the first floor of a private building right on the waterfront. It should be noted that during August it is very quiet during the day but at night the street becomes very busy and some local events take place in the area. The house, as mentioned, is on the first floor and is accessed through a private outdoor stair on the side of the building. The main entrance is through the large veranda on which also the living room and kitchen have access through a window and a balcony door respectively. Living room and kitchen are in an open space arrangement under a high slanted roof. The two bedrooms are located to the back of the house and are illuminant due to large windows in every room. The bathroom also has access to a window and is located in the short corridor that separates the two bedrooms. One bedroom is equipped with a Queen Size bed and another one with a bunk bed, both with specious wardrobe cabinets. A big crib (pack N play playard) with a matress can be added to the second room apon request. The bathroom has a large shower area and is naturally ventilated. The kitchen is composed of two cooking-working counters, a large fridge an electric stove and large electric oven. A dining table for 6 separates the cooking area from the rest of the living room. The living room is decorated with antique wooden chairs in combination with a modern comfortable couch which can also be used as an extra bed. A fire place at the center of the sitting area brings warmth to the setting during winter time. The house is equipped with a washing machine, stored in a small storage place under the stairs. A dishwasher can also be found under the kitchen sink to make your stay even more comfortable if you decide to cook for the family. Guest access The guests can check in by themselves after contacting the owner for guiding instructions. The entrance to the house is from the veranda which the guests can reach through the right staircase of the building. The veranda is shared with the house right next to ours but is partially separated for privacy reasons. The guests will have access to a spacious high roofed living room with kitchen and dining table for 6, two bedrooms and a bathroom. A washing machine located in a private storage room at the bottom of the stairs can also be used by guests. Other things to note Pets are welcome after contact and special arrangement with host. Cleaning service is not generaly provided (if needed it can be arranged with additional charge) so guests are responsible for keeeping the house in good condition and leaving it as they found it upon arrival. This is a holiday house that is also used by the owners so a few personal things will be found in the house or stored in seperate closets and guests are kindly asked to respect items of value. COVID 19 HOUSE POLICY Visitors over 18 years old are asked to provide COVID-19 valid (according to Greek laws) Vaccination Certificate, before arrival via email, as well as a rapid test of the last 48 hours for all visitors.
