The farm "Solum" lies on the foothills of the Blefjell - a mountain area popular for winter sports and outdoor activities and only a 1.5 hour drive from Oslo. With its 5 bedrooms and large dining area, Solum is an ideal base for a group or family vacation. Guests looking to experience the Norwegian nature will be delighted by the surrounding forest, rivers and lakes covering the mountains. There is a direct train from the Oslo Gardermoen airport to Kongsberg, from where a pickup can be arranged. The space Solum is a traditional Norwegian farm and when refurbishing the building in 2018, we kept many of the traditional designs and artefacts, such as the large open-pit fire place in the living room and a kitchen originating from the fifties with modern upgrades such as dishwasher and electric stove. The furniture is a combination of antiques, combined with classic Norwegian design. The bathroom and shower are completely redone and include a floor heating. The next door barn can be used to host larger events for up to 100 people and includes a bar as well as a stage for concerts. There is a small lake in front of the house which can be used for swimming. Guest access You will have access to the living room, dining room, kitchen bathrooms, and bedrooms, lake and barn.
